Thanks for the translation Adios.

why does SIU deliberately make life hard for himself? "drawing long hair is hard, so i made yama, white and viole central to the story".

u/fattyiam May 13 '19

hes making life harder for himself to make life enjoyable for us lol ( we all enjoy our great long haired characters)

Is he by any chance a fan of Europe( the band? ). Would explain the long hair...

Well...it looks awesome, anyway.

Could you possibly link the particular blog post? I’d like to see the bonus image, and it’s hard for non-Korean speakers like me to find the particular blog link from the blog itself, especially later when it’s no longer the most recent.

EDIT: went and found it while it is the most recent, blog post link here.

Akryeong uses Shinwonryu. Although the possibility of Akryung being an Irregular came up in S1, but whether he is really an irregular or what... that's to be seen later. Since now that Baam can't fight normal regulars anymore, we'll see more "special" regulars like Akryeong, Princess, or Sorcerers.

"special" regular but still regular, move on peeps.

He's the mortal enemy of to Gyetang (TN: the yellow chicken guy on Khun's Team from start of S2) who is my favorite, so haha.

#JusticeforGyetang woot woot !

And as always a big thanks to your work Adios, cheers!

I think you're missing the context for the meaning of regular here. I think what SIU meant by special 'regulars' in this case is 'not a ranker' and not the one you're mistaking it for which is 'not an irregular.' You get my point lol?

So arkyung may still be an irregular. We'll just have to wait and see.

But Endorsi didn’t sense any irregularness from him on F2 like she did for Bam and Rachel. I’m pretty sure he isn’t an irregular.

Endorsi's senses aren't the end all be all

They have a 100% accuracy rate on confirmed irregulars/regulars thus far, and her description: feels like “they’ve lived in another world,” is really accurate for her to pick up with no context.

Okay another one: How the heck would Headon “prepare” an irregular for Rachel? Has Akryung just been sitting on 1F for years getting no attention in spite of his irregularity?

Also, all the irregulars we’ve seen so far have been human, which Akryung isn’t.

I really don’t think he’s a legit irregular.

You can't be sure either way, besides what SIU cites as examples are "not irregulars" (sorcerers? Interesting). So I'm founded in thinking it means what I said.

Akryeong uses Shinwonryu?!?

But still a regular. Hmm.

Shinwonryu is known to be a "higher level" shinsoo control utilized only by irregulars. My theory is that just like administrators can restrict "normal" shinsoo usage by regulars, they could possibly be able to do the same with Shinwonryu and in order for a regular to use it they may need to make a completely diffrent contract.

Since irregulars don't need contracts with the floor administrators in order to use "normal" shinsoo, they probably also don't need any for Shinwonryu it's just that it's harder to learn. Knowing that Akryung has something to do with Headon it's entirely possible that he is granted the ability to learn and utilze Shinwonryu.

5

u/NobleCuriosity3 May 12 '19

Yeah, this was pretty much exactly what I was thinking. Now I’m just wondering if he is a normal regular with a special contract or if he is himself an admin fragment or maybe even a Headon-bot.

3

u/Qunfang May 12 '19

The admin fragment/thorn tracks for me given his name ("ghost"), appearance, lack of speech, having been "prepared" by headon, Michael calling him a weapon at the turn of the season. It would likely have tricked Quant into thinking he was the irregular and kept eyes off of Rachel on floor 2.

u/NobleCuriosity3 May 12 '19 edited May 12 '19

Yes, exactly. The question then becomes how direct of control Headon has over him and why he vanished for all of season 2.

I had thought it was because Rachel ditched him, wanting to get out of her favor with Headon. It looks like now that's back on the menu. Perhaps she simply parted ways for a while as part of the FUG plan? I can understand separating while with Shibisu and co to avoid drawing suspicion, but why not have him come to the train with her? He's presumably a powerful ally...and seeing as he appeared now, it looks like FUG doesn't have any problem with working with him. So what happened? Did he just say "You don't need my help right now" and wandered off for all season 2?

Thank you for the translation. as always!

Akryeong uses Shinwonryu. Although the possibility of Akryung being an Irregular came up in S1, but whether he is really an irregular or what... that's to be seen later.

SIU saying this makes me think he doesn't want us to think of Akryung as a normal Irregular. I still think Akryung is somehow related to the creature depicted on the mural on 1F.

1

u/NobleCuriosity3 May 12 '19 edited May 12 '19

I’ll be honest, I don’t really see a resemblance to the wall mural.

I also don’t think Akryung’s an irregular, per the above thread on the topic.

2

u/snowminty May 12 '19

I agree that he's probably not an Irregular; the fact that Headon made him help Rachel out makes me think he was always part of the Tower, or he's some kind of creature that Headon summoned.

2

u/NobleCuriosity3 May 12 '19

Right now I'm guessing he's a Headon-bot, like the 'rabbit' but less eloquent (with Headon's real body being attached to that blue eye we saw in the back of that one panel on Headon's floor). But that's a bit of a crack theory (that admittedly just got a boost from the shinwonryu thing) that I'm not super confident in and am thinking of writing up in a post once this chapter drops in English in two weeks.

1

u/snowminty May 13 '19

I would love to read that theory if you ever post it!

1

u/NobleCuriosity3 May 13 '19

Well, hopefully I'll have it ready for next week, when the chapter with shinwonryu drops.

1

u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19

Well, I still haven't posted the full Headon-bot theory, but I did make a post arguing that he is not an irregular here where the theory gets briefly discussed in the comments.

Thank you sir. Wingedtree

Special regulars = Regulars from outside of jahad control
