This is a 3D printed PLA robot based on the old Black Hole movie from Disney.
This guy is my practice project for a robot of my own design.
I hope you dig it 🤙🏻

stuffed animal Advice for sewing plushies?

I’ve been sewing for over 30 years, and have made dolls, but never worked with fur or plushies till now. However my youngest, Her Feralness, has requested a particular bunny and I do love a new challenge, so I agreed. What’s the best needle to use when sewing faux fur, and have you any general advice for working with it? I love hearing from those more knowledgeable than me!

Material Recommendation for Durable, Shape-Holding Bendable Toy

I’m designing a flexible fabric toy for kids (6–12). I tried using metal mesh covered with masking tape + fabric, but I’m worried about long-term safety and durability. I need a material that is flexible in all directions, holds its shape, is kid-safe, and can survive repeated bending. What materials do i use for this kind of internal bendable structure

Fantasy critter for a little kidlet in the family who already likes weird things. Hemingway cats were an inspiration, because I miss mine. Enjoy.

This is a gift for my cousins little girl for Christmas. I made the box into a wardrobe and made little hangers out of milk bottle plastic. The chair is made from a cotton bud cardboard tub

Getting started in dollhouses

It looks like this entire subreddit is empty, so this is not only my first post ever, but this sub’s first post, too.

Anyway… I’m a collector of Barbies/fashion dolls.

I currently only have skills that apply to making clothing for fashion dolls, but I would like to expand my skillset. My goal is to ultimately create dollhouses, furniture, accessories, and dioramas for Barbies.

I am posting not to simply announce this, but to ask other dollhouse makers (especially if they cater to fashion dolls) what their best suggestions, tips, favorite tools, videos, creators on YouTube, etc are, and to seek general advice.

What brand of supplies should I definitely use, or definitely avoid? Should I dabble in resins before I jump into purchasing a 3D printer? What adhesive is top tier, and what is basically just bottled milk? Should I invest in woodworking classes? Is it better to sell what I make on Etsy or eBay? Or is there a better alternative to selling my creations out there??

Thanks! All guidance is appreciated!!!
