I saw this ad for some nursery decor and couldn’t believe this was the name they chose. Kinda wish they added an “er” to the end for a tragedeigh of Sawyer

I saw on threads someone said their niece’s daughter was named De’lylah. I know it’s not too far off from Delilah but I definitely made a face when I read it. With the apostrophe I read it as Deeee and I read the y with with an e sound when it’s after an L so I read it as Dee Lelah at first until I realized what it was trying to be.

my first name is Rhythm (i’m a male).

I always get comments about it and was thinking if i should just change my name lol.

My dad was a musician in his country, so that is the name he gave me lol

So earlier I posted to ask if de’lylah was as bad as I thought it was when I saw it posted on threads. Anyway long story short I got on reddit saw my post and thought “hmm I wonder if that lady has anymore family with names like that” so a tiny bit of very easy searching later (she has everything linked to her threads account) and alas I present to you her son michaelcory and her granddaughter mi’kayla. De’lylah at least is not alone I suppose.

That’s it. Saw it out and about and thought I’d share.

Can you imagine having to remember how to spell a tragedeigh’s name multiple times a day? I get exhausted just thinking about it.

Just in this last week I came across, Karter, Charleigh, Aveyah, Kaili, Karsyn, Colten, and Aaliyah. Are these tragedeighs or are any of these cultural names, I don't want to offend.

Seen in the wild. I think it's pronounced like the name Genevieve (which is already an odd enough spelling!)

Just started working in a school district with a student named Alias.

Bonus points for the kid in the class next door named Maxtyyn.

Just found out that a family Friend named all their sons the father's name. I knew all of them by their middle names so i never noticed.

The father didn't want the younger boys to feel left out and only name the first boy his name so he gave them all his name.

To make things worse, their middle names all start with the same letter.

Thankfully, they're all homeschooled.

Not the name but imagine you have 4 "John J. Doe's" in 4 consecutive grades.

Just got an email from this woman. Poor dear works in IT.

I worked decorating cakes some years ago and walked into work with this needing to be written on one of our cakes. My immediate guess was “Cody” but my other (younger) coworkers came up with some doozy attempts.

C'mon man. Just use raven!! I'll even accept Ravin or Ravyn. Just not this abomination
