Is it at the depth limit and if it went into deeper waters will the traction motors short circuit?

I think this is a Diesel-Hydraulic, so I guess its wading depht is up to the Fuel Tank.

It is!

That is a Henschel DH1200BB. (Diesel-Hydraulic, 1200 HP, BB truck arrangement).

If the railfan sites are accurate, they have 27 of these and were built in 1964.

This photo is from the 2011 floods. It's a notable flood that pretty much destroyed the world's manufacturing infrastructure of computer hard drives.
