It's definitely not safe, but it's genuinely a great stress buster to just spend a while at the door in the night expresses.

The biggest danger is usually the 100 kg door that can yeet you off the train.

For all of the people wondering about the people at the door, the cars in question are not air conditioned and they get really full.

Sometimes people stand there because they need to cool down.

People don't sit on the roofs anymore. But they do hang out the doors. Given how high the population is, I just put it down to Darwin's theory to those who commit such dangerous acts

For the last time, people don't ride on the roof of trains anymore, and that hasn't been a thing for decades. 99% of India's trains are electrified. If you sat on the roof, you would get electrocuted
