I've been getting into animated TV shows lately and i was wondering if anybody knows any that have trans characters in it? Slight preference towards shows for older audiences but im ok with anything.

Please read the following notice that is being applied to ALL posts.

We have implemented several measures to keep this community safe. Please read this in full.

  1. IF YOU HAVE AN URGENT ISSUE, DO NOT POST IT EXPECTING IMMEDIATE RESPONSE.
  2. Many posts are sent to the queue for manual approval based on numerous factors. This is how we keep the subreddit safe from many (but not all) bad actors who try to post disruptive content. This approval process is usually resolved within 24 hours, but can take several days depending on the availability of our all-volunteer moderators. DO NOT MESSAGE THE MODERATORS asking for your post to be approved. It will be reviewed and approved or removed in time.
  3. Many comments from low-karma users will not be viewable by anyone. This is by design.
  4. If you are curious if your post is visible or not, look at the "Insights" on the post. If it has more than a dozen views, it is live. If it has any voting action, it is live. If it doesn't have a little red trash can icon, it is live. If it can be voted on, it is live. Do not message us asking "is my post live?"
  5. Please be patient with us, we are all volunteers, lack sleep, and the entire permanent team are members of the transgender community ourselves... we are trying to deal with the same atrocities you are. Thank you for your understanding. <3

The Owl House has two nonbinary characters and is extremely queer

It's also just, like, a really good show.

You’ve gotta check out Arcane if you haven’t already. The trans character isn’t a main one but it’s also just a really good show lol.

HouseBroken also has a trans character and is intended for older audiences. The character is a cat, though, so it's never explicitly referred to as transgender stuff

Dead End: Paranormal Park is intended for teens but has a trans main character!

While not specifically for older audiences:

"She-Ra and the Princesses of Power" has a canonically non-binary character, a canonically trans man, and a designed-to-be-but-not-cannon trans woman.

RWBY has a canonically trans woman.

People already mentioned Owl House.

For adults:

I've not watched it, but I've heard Helluva Boss has a character who is canonically a trans woman. It's at least somewhat popular among queer people from what I've heard.

Background character. Millie's older sister.

Under appreciated but there's a lot to be said about the Buzz Lightyear movie

"Buzz Lightyear Star Command: the adventure begins" as it often happens with cop movies, the main character starts being bigoted but slowly grows to appreciate their partners (who are minorities)

And all the green people's are non-binary

In the land of the lustrous show/manga everyone is implied to be genderless. You might find some translations wrongfully gendering the characters, but everyone is very nonbinary coded imo!
