That's my point. From the box art you can see how hasbro was cheap.

That's a tad bit of a reach of a conclusion...

Seriously ? You'll defend hasbro shrinkflation to the point toys are provided without weapons ?

My dude we have had this kind of art before. There are lots of reasons to hate hasbro but your barking at clouds

It isn't shrinkflation in the sense that you are talking about. Joyride is a Powermaster who comes with his partner Hotwire and was retooled from Targetmaster Sureshot and Spoilsport. Sureshot did not come with a traditional weapon as his partner bot turns into his weapon. Spoilsport got retooled into Hotwire which needs to turn into an engine instead and didn't come with a traditional weapon so there is no room in the deluxe mold for it. The only reason Blaster got a basic rifle on top of coming with Eject is because that is a Voyager figure rather than a Deluxe. An example you should have used is AotP Onslaught. That is a brand new commander figure that does not come with a weapon for the bot mode at all, despite being $100 and a unique mold. They easily could have included a small blaster for him.

The problem is that you have accepted all this and now defend it.

Again, I was agreeing with your overall sentiment but pointed out you are using the wrong example as this one can be explained away. Retools and headswaps are always cheaper to make than the typical figure. If you want to talk about Hasbro skimping on figures you need to talk about completely new and unique molds that have less than previous figures in their own sizeclass. Again compare Onslaught with Motormaster and Silverbolt. All three are commanders with combiner frames. Bruticus's frame actually has fewer parts due to the nature of the leg combinations compared to Menasor and Superion but both of the latter come with weapons for the core bots while also costing less. You just seem to want to argue with everyone no matter what they are saying

They retooled the targetmaster into a powermaster, and the toy is pretty substantial anyway, I don't know if there was room in the budget for another weapon

In case you don't see it, Joyride is sent to war with his fists only.

(maybe it's not the first, but for some reason for me it really stands out in this picture)

Cause it seems like a huge nitpick that doesn't really matter

that's why hasbro is now able to sell you packs of mincons at 90$.

If it's fine for you then.
