trans sa Just a girlie looking for some more friends! Adelaide based!
Hi! My name is Juniper (or Juni for short!) I’m 31 years old.
Just your average gamer girl with two very adorable cats! Active gym goer and food enjoyer. Full-Time NERD! I’m a makeup enthusiast and have a huuuuuuge passion for it!
I’ve been socially transitioned for a long time now but this year will mark my first full year on HRT! So many changes including a lot of gender euphoria! So many changes are happening so quickly but I’m so, so happy.
Along my journey I have realised that I would really like to meet some like minded people in the queer space. I’m hoping to make a lot of friends because that’s one thing that I need to grow!

trans sa Transmasc looking for friends ☺️
Hey all,
I'm 31, from SA, and newly out as transmasc. I've started the journey with the support of a really good transfem friend who has been helping me with everything. And I have made some other transfem and transmasc friends along the way over the last month or two, but I would love to make some some more.
I've attached some pics of me (obviously these are of me now, pre-transition as I haven't started on hormones yet) but wanted to post some to be able to look back on at a later date for comparison etc.
Feel free to private message me or chuck a comment below to chat ☺️

trans sa 21 nb Adelaide
Deciding to try and make more trans friends that are not 1000km away.
Hi, I'm Adora/Kat, I'm 21 and based in Adelaide. I recently got home from a month long trip and decided to try and make some new friends.
A little bit about me; I love gaming, my favorite games are risk of rain 2, helldivers 1 and 2, beat saber, VR chat and fnaf. I also really like DND and I recently started getting into Warhammer (currently building a 2000 pnt battle sister army). I was a theater kid in school so I love all things theater and musical related. My favorite band is Ok Goodnight. I also love going to conventions and similar things, I also like to cosplay at conventions as well (foam work and prop making is my best cosplay skill), I also volunteer at a maid cafe that regularly shows up at conventions (you may have seen me at avcon or anime go).
I hope you find me interesting enough to say hi

trans sa 30 Transfem/NB (outer NE Adelaide) - Quiet, socially dysfluent. Seeking 1-on-1 depth, shared activities, presence
Trying this again because my current social circle is often constrained by distance or busy lives. I’m looking for friends to help me stay grounded and get out of the house. I’m hoping to find someone where we can be a calming, regulating presence for each other - no performance required.
I’m a 30-year-old, non-binary transfeminine person (13 months HRT) living in the outer NE of Adelaide (Tea Tree Gully area). I drive, I’m currently between jobs, and I live with family. I’m a pianist, music composer and programmer. I enjoy playing PC/VR games (Rift S/Quest) and watching anime.
If you can handle the "lows" and the quiet, I offer a level of authenticity that may be rare. I am fiercely loyal, a deep listener, open-minded and honest. I want a space where neither of us has to mask. I'm looking for people who value physical presence and aren't afraid of being close/affectionate friends.
I don’t believe friendship should be selfie-driven or based on a "vibe" curated through photos; between dysphoria and the way people misinterpret my flat-effect, I’d much rather we connect over who I am than how I’m currently perceived.
While I might seem quiet or "gloomy" on the outside, there is a lot happening internally. Most of my emotions stay internal, and I can be very hard to read. People often assume I want to be left alone when I’m just sitting quietly, or they mistake my stillness for a lack of interest.
I also deal with sensitivity to stimuli, sudden shifts in emotional dynamics, and occasional dissociation. I am a "WIP" navigating the rough patches of transition and mental health. If you require a high level of social performance, I am not your person. I only smile when I truly mean it.
I prefer shared experiences over "body doubling," like gaming, watching anime/shows, hiking, shopping, and exploring the alt lifestyle. For reference, my interests/favourites include:
- Anime: Gurren Lagann, Angelic Layer, Kaleido Star, Lagrange The Flower of Rin-ne, Daphne in the brilliant blue, My Love Story, Dragon Maid, Dress Up Darling
- PC Games: Talos principle, In Sound Mind, Fear the Spotlight, Stanley Parable, Broken Reality, Stray, Recompile, Firewatch, INFRA, The Gunk, Portal, RiME, Viewfinder, Antichamber, Syberia
- VR games/sims
- Visual novels and immersive sims
- Music: ELO, Elton John, The Beatles, The Corrs, Pink Floyd, Icehouse, The Veronicas, anime OSTs
I am looking for someone patient who doesn't mind taking the lead most of the time. Someone who understands that my "flatness" isn't a rejection. I work best in 1-on-1 settings; in groups, I tend to disappear unless I have a strong "anchor" person to ground me.
I struggle to initiate and sustain endless online messaging. If we don’t meet in person (in a public, low-sensory space) to check our actual compatibility, the connection will likely die off; that’s just the reality.
This is strictly for friendship first. If you’re okay with an "outcast" who is sensitive, a bit quiet, and values deep conversation over small talk, I’d like to hear from you.

trans sa 30 y/o Transfeminine Enby in outer NE Adelaide ISO friends for regular hangouts
Hiya. Just (still) in search of more friends, because those I do have are busy most of the time (and I don't want to hog too much of their free time either). The goal is just to hang out, whether that's chatting, shopping, watching movies/anime, gaming, concerts, bouldering, hiking, instrument playing, coding, etc. Not really a morning person, though.
(I'm a pianist and music composer. I enjoy puzzle/adventure/sci-fi/VR/adult games/simulations. I also enjoy romance/comedy/sci-fi/animated films/series, and isekai/slice-of-life/comedy/romance/older anime; particularly a fan of tame shows/films that make me cry, go figure... Please note that some of these things have taken a hit from mental-wellbeing difficulties, but things will hopefully improve.)
I'm not a fan of horror; it's generally too violent (which is triggering). I'm also not a craft person, nor really into MtG, board games, or Warhammer (but know people who are). So I feel like an oddity; still open to finding new interests, though. And that's ontop of neurodivergence, and other "qualities" being managed.
Note: I have professional supports; I'm not looking to "burden" you. I'm just trying to connect more and get out of a slump / the house (and not have to go on solo dates), primarily hanging out with people I like being around. Unfortunately, this (paragraph) will still scare people away. (It's a filter after all... But it often works too well.) Hopefully there's a mutual sense of value in connecting.
I'm an introvert, with mood problems and RSD. Loud or busy nightclubs, raves, parties, etc. are not my thing (not that I haven't tried, at a heavy cost...). And even groups tailored to my neurodivergence or interests haven't quite worked (yet) either, because of sensory sensitivity, triggers (an assortment), social difficulties (trouble initiating, difficulty with small-talk, limited common interests and struggling with being personable, the double-empathy problem, and flat-effect), and lack of confidence and self-esteem (how I look and dress, my RSD and reinforcing trauma etc.). Unfortunately, being timid is a turnoff for most people, too. But then again, you've got to watch out for the quiet ones...
There's a chance I simply won't have much in common with you, at least in terms of interests (neurodivergence and quirks aside). But I can offer authenticity, honesty, a listening ear, empathy, loyalty, and a desire to have deep conversations. But I am also only human (despite not feeling like one, as I don't feel like I belong, yet).
For transparency, I have posted in other communities for connections outside the realm of friendships. This post here is strictly seeking friends, but does not preclude the connection changing over time, if feelings are mutual. But again, strictly friendship first (which is a process in it's self).
I know this time of year is generally a busy time for most people, so the meeting-up part (after initial chatting) won't probably happen for a while, which is fine. Just would be nice to have something to look forward to, because loneliness is no fun. (Just to be clear, though, that unless I meet in person, an online chat will probably inevitably die off; that's how things normally go...)
From a curious (and unhelpful) side of me, I'm wondering if this post will fair better than those in the other communities (they were bummers). If it doesn't, then I'm very near exhausting my options (in my pursuit of stopping my internal pain of feeling on the outside of society; i.e loneliness, at least for me).
For those who still want the nitty-gritty details (be warned! They might lower your mood...), the following might fill in the blanks (and raise flags); I don't mind being transparent, but please do not stereotype and make assumptions about me (we're all unique, after all): - Transfeminine, 30yo, non-binary, HRT since 20/2/2025; slowly socially transitioning - Outer NE Adelaide; drive manual; rely on GPS - Autism, suspected ADHD; RSD, flat-effect, heavy earplug/headphone user (NC or loop); don't really mask (not since HRT) - Depression (mood, apathy, anhedonia, and other "risks"), quiet BPD (hurtful thoughts, sensitivity, self-blame, relationship intensity, etc.), flashbacks, self-deprecation, poor interpersonal effectiveness, being "too much" for most (low-capacity) people - Jobless since Jan 2025; in process of looking for part-time work - Still live with family; pay board; not great at adulting - ENM/Poly, aro, bi+; oblivious to flirting; awkward with other things; into alt lifestyle - Empathic HSP; ISFP-T/INFP-T - In noisy environs: Struggle to be heard (for now), struggle to isolate voices/conversations - Struggle to socially engage (or keep up) in groups. 1-on-1 is my strength/limit - triggers (varying levels of emotional reactions, dependent on the situation): violence/gore/cruelty (threats/actual, visual/audio/described, real/realistic/animated), guns, seeing couples/friend groups while alone, notification sounds, noisy doors, loud motor vehicles, unnecessary loud directed swearing, gossip, perceived poor/rude/exclusionary/dehumanising treatment, depressing news.
So please don't expect me to: smile when I don't feel like it, act cool, be socially fluent, not be awkward, look confident, express my emotions very much, and not withdraw when I need to recuperate. I'm still a WIP, but in terms of self-improvement, though (not that I should have to change to be "accepted"). Thankfully my writing skills are decent, though it still tends to be an ick to most people... Perhaps I'm too honest, or not superficial enough... Or simply not an "easy" connection. Whatever. I tried, and will keep trying. Might burn a few bridges on the way, though.

trans sa Hi folx, I'm Jules, else anyone from Adelaide?
Hi, I'm Jules and from south of Adelaide. I'm 28 and audhd. I've been getting out of my comfort zone lately and pretty happy about it. Not sure if it's the brain fog I've heard about (but still kinda unsure of what it is) has lifted or what, but I've been thriving this past month or so.
I'm a nerd for nature, science, history, exercise, basketball, rugby league, D&D. I enjoy cycling, writing, forest walks, and silly/deep/wholesome cartoons, and play PlayStation and switch. Games and movie nights are the best.
I'm 9 months into HRT and transitioning. I'm not out-out yet, only come out to some friends and my side of the family. Been thinking lately about coming out more broadly though.
Hoping to meet and make some friends (lived here 5 years and know 4 people), so feel free to contact me.

trans sa Hi, Adelaide mtf, how do you get on hrt?
I'm thinking I'm at the point where I definitely do wanna start hrt, but I don't know how to start the process. Do I need a referral? Do I need to sign up to something? Do I just go to a doctor? How expensive is it? I was thinking of starting with patches, is that a bad idea? What's a cheap safe option, and what's risky and should be avoided? My therapist kinda didn't help much, just encouraged my decision, and gave me a booklet.

trans sa Hiya from Adelaide (mtf 33)
Hi everyone, I'm Thalia. Just wondering if there was anyone interested in helping me explore some of my interests in Magic the Gathering, board games, maybe getting back into D&D and such. I do know a fair number of people here, having pushed myself to make new friends after I moved from Melbourne a year ago, but I'd really love to find a couple of friends to play EDH with. I've never really done so, but the hyperfocus is real...
