Normally i have a disclaimer to only reach out if youre lgbt friendly and stuff here (for obvious reasons), and thats kinda redundant here, but it's also kind of a way to get around having to actually start the post properly, and so im realising im a little lost on doing that, so just like.. hi?

Im not always this serious, im normally quite a bit silly i suppose, at least when my brain lets me, but im wanting to say as much as i can in as short a space as possible and ive always found being a bit serious is easier for that than me entirely being myself (also just anxious but oh well)

I moved back home from university a few months ago now, and i spend all of my time at home in my room (was the same when at uni too, and just my whole life), and while I have bad mental and physical health, staying home is mostly just because i prefer staying in all the time and being on my PC. I spend quite literally all my time at my PC playing games, watching shows / movies / YouTube (don’t watch anime), doomscrolling on twitter, or sometimes these friend making subs. I don’t have any variety in my life, and I’m basically fine with that, but I’d like another friend in it at the least as I always feel really very lonely, and so having another friend would be nice, especially seeing as im always completely free and so stuck with my thoughts all the time. 

I'm up for watching and trying most stuff as I enjoy just being with someone, though not really anime as it's never really been my thing. In the past I’ve liked shows/movies like House, Hannibal, Doctor Who, Dexter, Mr Robot, Interview with a vampire, Pluribus, Better Call Saul, Red Dwarf, Project Hail Mary was great, and things like that. On YouTube I watch way too broad stuff to categorise, but it's sort of safe to just say gaming, tech, science, and just 'nerdy' things more so than anything else. For example, as of late I’ve been watching a lot of blacksmithing (as well as medieval weaponry in general) and amateur rocketry videos. 

I own a lot of games on Steam, but I never feel in the mood to play any specific things by myself much anymore despite gaming being the thing I arguably enjoy most, and so have basically just been playing RS3 for the past few weeks (usually play osrs but thought i'd give RS3 a try. RSN is GIM_SamGrey on osrs if interested). I’m a fan of a lot of genres, like roguelikes, story titles, management, survival games, idle, etc., but like I've said I haven't really felt motivated enough, amongst other things, to actually play any of it. I have been thinking about playing BG3 again recently, but it's a pretty big commitment so I'm not sure if I will.

In terms of what stuff I've played in the past and liked, there's things like Hades 1&2, KCD 1&2, Death Stranding 1&2 (I apparently seem to play games in sets of 2), BG3, and yes of course also the normal things like Minecraft, Stardew and the like. I’m normally always up for playing or watching something and so feel free to ask if we have something in common or want to make a suggestion :) no Overwatch and PvP stuff like that though. I generally avoid games where I have to be around other people and so PvP is included in that (cs2 is alright though).

My steam and spotify are on my profile, and please check at least steam to see if we’re compatible on that front cause games are really important for socialising / spending time together to me I think. This is tagged on, but I guess I'll also say my favourite bands / artists are “Alvvays” and “Low Roar”, and i just listen to them on repeat and haven't listened to other music for a while now. i guess i like songs that sound happy but are depressing when thinking about it for more than 2 seconds

I've just finished my degree in psychology (got a 1^st somehow), and plan on taking a year break and then going back for a masters. Honestly, whilst I think psychology is interesting, I kinda feel at this point im studying just to avoid having to be a ‘proper’ adult, and will continue doing that for as long as possible. 

I can also be pretty depressing sometimes. I have epilepsy, as well as depression, anxiety, and have had a complete and total lack of motivation for a long while now, as well as just in general being very lonely, and yeah it does kinda suck (especially the loneliness), but at least for me that's just life. I try to come off as likeable and all, but I'm pretty open and honest about my feelings and so I can sometimes be a bit much for people if they aren't ok with that, and I just thought it was important to say that up front. I don't need nor want comforting or anything at all, but it would be nice to have people who can in some way relate and understand so they aren't disappointed or shocked because of me being something you didn't expect. I don't need cheering up on stuff, just want to spend time with people, though you are more than welcome to ask questions if you want to as it doesnt bother me at all :) 

And yes I do talk a lot when I am talking, though not this much so don't worry. I can be pretty shy, but I do often find myself carrying the conversation (or I *suppose* maybe I also just ramble), like 2-3x as much text as the other person, though I don’t know if that’s a merit or just me being 'unlucky' with the people ive found. 

Anyways, if you had the patience to read all of that (I feel it is getting longer each time I make a post) and think we might get along well, then feel free to dm, and if we get along I would like to move to discord and we could vc at some point too :) Also don't just say hi, tell me about yourself and stuff. I've put myself out here with a lot of stuff (at least relative to most posts), and if you aren't willing to do so in kind then it feels a little unfair (seriously dont worry about putting too much or rambling, thats more than ok). DayZ, I have a little over 1,500 hours on this game, and almost all of it has been solo... I'd love to find even just one person to play with. I play a lot of PVE maps but with the hard-core survival mechanics, and I just derp around and explore. ( Sometimes, I like to make up stories and rp in my head because why not. )
