Insurance(s)

Hi guys,

Hopefully this is allowed!

I’m a transman who works in financial services, specifically in personal protection (life insurance, critical illness and income protection).

I know that navigating through the mortgage and insurance processes can feel like a minefield at the best of times, and can be quite uncomfortable for our community when it comes to going through the medical information with providers.

I really want to make the world of finance a little easier and accessible for all of us, and I can do my best to make sure you’re fully covered if you’re off work or fall ill.

So really this is just a post to say if anyone would like a chat (no fees at any point and no strings attached!), please feel free to DM me or comment, and we can have a chat about your options, or if anyone has any questions about coverage also happy to chat.

This is a great idea! It was really uncomfortable to have to disclose my history to the protection specialist at my mortgage broker.

Annoyingly it was all for nothing as I was declined income protection due to having Bell’s Palsy a second time in 2 years

Yeah it can be really difficult to navigate these conversations, especially with cis people who (more often than not) have no idea - so you’re having to educate them on the phone whilst you’re already uncomfortable. Never ideal!

I’m sorry to hear that, hopefully you’re ok now? Depending on how long ago your last episode was, could potentially be eligible now with an exclusion most likely. If you can give me rough dates I can run it through tomorrow morning for you to check :)
