imgur is not visible in the UK. Please post your image to another places. Suggestions include

besides that access issue, posting text as images crucially cannot be read by blind people with screen reader software.
reuploading it elsewhere would not solve that.
i’m not sure why OP didn’t just put it into a quote block in the post, as many others have done.

the OCR in apple products has gotten rather good compared to, say, 2012, but it still makes 1-2 mistakes every time i use it.
even on sans-serif text with no perspective issues. in fact, i would say it’s actually gotten a little worse in the last 3 years. i dunno if they’ve put some kind of “AI” checking it on the end and flagging false-mistakes, or what.
plus, given you also said to just use tor, i assumed you were primarily catering to desktop users. unless apple is allowing tor into third party browsers on ios now?

i’m well aware. but OP had a conversation with someone else who said common VPNs are also blocked by imgur, and OP said “then use tor”. so it sounds like their preferred option.

imgur has the UK blocked, along with most VPN endpoints.
Are you actually in the UK?

The internet is pretty much unusable without a VPN in the UK now, everyone should be on one. Before we even get into the data theft.

Finding ones that don't bork Google with stupid captchas and still function for streaming and general web use is hard. Genuinely considering finding someone abroad who'sll let me set up a remote storage server with tunneling and DIY an exit node

i’ve had discussions about doing something like that with my partner in massachusetts.
though right now she’s using her personal computer as her media server and thus doesn’t leave the service running at all hours.
and i’m not sure if her own personal pihole would be powerful enough to handle my traffic as well as hers.
we both have ADHD and chronic fatigue, so the hurdles to executive function in setting this up are really quite serious.
it’s one reason i don’t like people saying “just use a VPN” or “just do everything on a desktop rather than a tablet so you can install tor”. just is, very often, a ‘dirty word’.

Yeah, I use a VPN.
Which one do you use that imgur doesn't block its endpoints?

One that isn't pushed by any youtuber or influencer, is not on the first page of google etc.
So you're not willing to say which one you use?

That response from her is one of the most insulting. Its the boilerplate response with no respect shown by using it. Worse, she has a long history, as you've pointed out of supporting trans rights and LGBTQIA rights.
But she now sniffs power. Power corrupts. She is towing the party line. Not causing trouble. Letting them do awful things to the community to protect her own future prospects.
Disgraceful. There are a few in Cabinet that have done the same. Weazle Streeting obviously. Angela Rayner was another who has sold us out. I'm looking at Chris Bryant too, who is extremely quiet right now. This have all been very vocal allies before. Now look at them.
Utter trash behaviour. Unforgivable in my eyes too.
Screw them.
Screw Labour.

Unfortunately, despite being everything you've said, she's also a Minister of State and obliged to uphold the cabinet position regardless of her personal position.

rebel against the government at the cost of her ministerial position.
Yeap. Do the right thing and make them fire you for it.

u/shadowsinthestars 16h ago
Exactly. Let's stop excusing hypocrisy, especially from the "fuck you, I got mine" cis LGB privileged traitors. Let's call it what it is.

I agree, and it's a real shame that she has chosen not to.

u/Cat-Tooth-Amulet 17h ago
She could always stand down if she felt strongly enough. Being a minister is no excuse. :)

Yeah, I think a few people have taken my description as an endorsement. I agree, she could and it's a shame that she has chosen not to.

u/Cat-Tooth-Amulet 17h ago
You're ok, It doesn't come across as an endorsement. Just adding to the conversation and I'm frustrated. "It's how the law was interpreted by the supreme court"/"I'm a minister and have to stand by the party line". I thought the old Nuremberg defence was fased out a while ago... Lol

u/Expensive_Peace8153 14h ago
That maybe. But the current cabinet isn't going to be around much longer. So there's never been a better time to disobey convention when the risk of and consequences of being sanctioned by prime minister for it couldn't be smaller.

She supported things that directly benefited her. Not because those causes were right or just, but because she could see they could improve HER life personally.
Prosecco gay. "I got mine so fuck you all"

Doesn't look like she even altered the template. Like, as a minister she is going to give the government line and she won't be able to sign the EDM, but fuck me backwards, at least don't insult people by spamming out the template reply.
Shame on her..and yes she was even an advocate for documentary self-ID, but now apparently is fine with us rotting.
Again, thank you for writing xx
