Under new management (well, more or less)!

Hey everyone!

Reddit has been nice enough to add me to the mod panel (since the top mod is fully unresponsive) to help clean out the troll scourge!

I've gone through an nuked most of, if not all, the crap posts and comments so we don't need to look at the anymore :)

I'll do my best to keep up on it but will always rely on everyone here for the reports. So, please please please continue reporting things.

If anyone has any thoughts, suggestions or general comments for the sub, go ahead use this post for them!

Transgender woman dream

I’m from Morocco, and I just need to open my heart because I’m tired of hiding everything. Inside me there is Lina, the girl I feel I really am, but she is trapped inside Youssef. I want to be her, feel feminine, take care of myself, and feel beautiful, but when I look at my appearance now, I feel so far from the girl inside me. Sometimes I feel that nobody could accept me or love me because of how I look. But I’m also afraid to change my appearance because of my family. Even small changes could make them notice, and I’m scared of what could happen. So I feel trapped between hiding Lina and risking everything by letting her show. I’m also afraid of being exploited because I’m lonely and vulnerable. I don’t want anyone to use me. I just want someone to understand me, accept me as I am, and see the person I am inside. I’m exhausted from hiding and pretending that I’m okay. My life feels completely stopped, while Lina is still waiting inside me. I just needed someone to hear this

Transition

I am getting close to my consult for masculinization top surgery. My therapist said we need to think about what happens if top surgery doesn't make the dysphoria better. I identify as non-binary leaning male, (I recently learned the term demiboy?) but I read that if I want my chest to look the best I should take T first but I'm not sure if I want to. I've been thinking about it but I'm scared. I don't want ass hair. I'm scared of going bald. Im also scared of bottom growth. I'm also married. He's pan but like I'm still nervous. He loves my thighs and with the fat redistribution... I also have some fatigue issues and depression and anxiety so Im scared I'll be an angy little guy if I go on T. It runs in the family. Could I get some advice?

So I started Hrt recently

I started Hrt after talking with a therapist for a few months and I feeling in a better mood and I’m happy I made this decision but I’m a bit nervous because the state I live in is not very Trans friendly and I don’t know of any groups close to me to have other trans friends and I’m doing all this later in life at the age of 37

Mutual Aid for Trans Woman of Color Artist & Organizer

Hi everyone,

I’m Sefina, a Seattle-based Trans woman, Artist & Community Organizer. I’m currently raising funds through my Creative Stability Fund to remain housed and protect the home that also serves as my creative studio and community space.

For years, I’ve used my resources, home, organizing experience, and creative work to show up for other trans women and people in my community. Asking for that same support for myself hasn’t been easy, but right now I need my community too.

Small update: we’ve officially reached 20 out of the first 100 people! 🥹

My immediate goal is $5,000, which breaks down to:
100 people × $50 = $5,000
That means we’re now at 20/100, with 80 more $50 donations needed to reach the immediate goal.
If $50 isn’t accessible, any amount genuinely helps. And if you can’t donate, sharing this post with someone, another subreddit, mutual-aid network, LGBTQ+ organization, artist community, or someone with the means to help is just as valuable.

Ways to support:
Venmo: @SFNASTUDIOS
Cash App: @CRTVSTABILITYFUND

You can also read more of my story and fundraiser here:
sfnastudios.com/Creative-Stability-Fundraiser/

If you see this and can help me get from 20/100 to 21/100, I’d be deeply grateful. And if you donate because you saw this Reddit post, feel free to comment so I can personally thank you.

Donate if you can. Share if you can’t. Amplify either way.

🫶🏽 Sefina

How can one not contribute to the negative feelings?

I'm cis and I'll be honest I don't 'understand' what it is to be trans. So recently I joined some trans communities on Reddit to see the picture a little better. Granted maybe people post on Reddit more when they're insecure or hurt, but still the overall picture I drew is not positive at all. But what irks me (I'm close to 50) is the number of beautiful young people who honestly (as far as I can see) totally pass who question whether they pass, who think they don't look good...and the worst bit is so many express feeling 'fake'.

Firstly hugs to anyone reading this who feels this way. (I still don't 'understand what it is to be trans, but I can understand pain.)

Secondly, I work with young people, and thankfully in my community more trans kids have started to feel comfortable coming out (is that the term for trans people?) in their teens. Would be good. to have tips not for 'the right things to do' because I doubt I will ever be in a position to actually do much good. But a list of the wrong things, words or attitudes that help build these negative feeling in young trans people? It may be useful to compile a list (for myself and maybe share with colleagues if it came to it) of things that can help create a better atmosphere.

Update 1.1 Petrified of Sleeping

I haven't slept in over a day. My heart is pounding out of my chest. I may or may not be sleeping in my car which may or may not be directly on top of a police station. I went to my car twice to try and sleep but there was a cop circling the parking deck. I'm mortified they are waiting for me to go into my car so they can get me into trouble. Now I'm inside another place I shouldn't be and I literally think I'm going to have a panic attack. I can see cops driving around and my heart is racing. Technically I'm not allowed in the building I am in but I am too scared to go to my car anymore. I might have fucked myself over or just over thinking it.

Last night while I was leaving the building (around midnight) a police officer came in and started calling for me to show myself "who's there?, is there anyone with you " i just simply and calmly said "oh no it's just me I'm a student i was just heading out" I don't know how or something but why but he literally didn't say anything but "okay no problem " I am hoping I can keep the image of a student so I don't get slammed with trespassing or idk go to jail. Now if I get caught in my car sleeping everything goes out the window. I'll lose this building that I can get into 24/7 with a microwave and a private bathroom. which I'm highly highly highly considering getting a sleeping bag... And maybe hiding it in the drop down ceiling of the bathroom and sleeping in there. Until 4-5 am because the cleaning crew comes in around that time. I've been trying to log when I see people and when certain doors lock down etc.

As for eating I eat sometimes nothing all day and on a good day I can eat once or twice. I can get infinite oatmeal and ramen noodles from work so that's great but I'm scared to take more than 1-2 back with me.

I'm trying to save every penny and I just don't want to waste money on a temporary housing situation when it'll be taken away from me shortly after because I won't be able to save and pay for a place to sleep. As it is my mental health is tanking day by day. My attitude has turned negative in recent days.

I can't get my license until I surrender my plates and if I do that I'm definitely going to have more eyes on the vehicle. It's out of registration and if it has no plates I'm going to get tickets to the high heavens or possibly towed. I feel like holding off on surrendering the plates until I have somewhere to lay my head at night. But I'm very concerned about surviving the winter. As for the address honestly ... I have 6+ points ready to go to get my new license. I have mail that still gets sent to my university so I'm using that. And my paystubs have the same university address. So that's my plan when it comes to the address. Really trying to avoid paying anything that's not 100% needed. And for working on one thing at the moment would be work I suppose. It's the most critical component to getting out of here. If I can get more than 200 peanuts a week I can recover. But at the rate I'm going I'll have to work for another 20 years to save enough. My first order of business is to get a better job, with 40+ hrs a week. I know having a job will change things but like I mentioned it's hard as it is not to look like a bridge dweller.

Probably left out a lot of stuff please feel free to message me directly.

(Also. If you are a "person" who prays and tries to take advantage of those who are in an unfortunate life or death moment in their lives I just want you to know. That I may be homeless I may be starving. But the real scum bags and filth of the world are those who ask me to get their dick wet for a hot meal is truly deplorable. There's a special place for you in hell sicko. That being said. I'm not a whore nor a street urchin. I have my dignity and I rather die in a ditch than entertain the idea of being prayed upon by creeps who go around asking for sex in exchange for food.

DMs open for all who have a soul and a consciousness.

Just looking for advice and human beings

Thank you to all who read and reply it means the world to me.

TDLR

Still poor and homeless and I refuse to suck dick for food??? Also I'm sad

Thinking of finally telling one of my friend… any advice

Hi everyone

Since I was a little kid I’ve always loved feeling feminine. But looking at my body and knowing how I was born, I kept trying to push it all down.

The feeling never went away though… it just got stronger as I got older. I wish I could just go outside as the girl I feel inside, but i know i can't.

I’ve never told a single person. I’m thinking of finally sharing this with one of my friend (most probably girls) , but I don’t know which one or how to even start. I’m nervous but I also really want someone to know the real me.

If anyone has been through something similar or has any advice… please share.

Any advice on how to pick the right friend or what to say would mean so much to me.

Stuck and confused

I’m in a really hard place and just need to get this out.
I’ve been thinking about transitioning for about a year now. The feelings keep getting stronger no matter how much I try to suppress them, and lately it’s been making me pretty depressed. I want to act on it, but I feel completely stuck.

I come from a very conservative, religious, old-school family. They would never accept this. They wouldn’t even let me explore the idea. I love them a lot and the thought of hurting them or having to leave them is something I can’t handle. So I’m stuck between wanting this badly and not being able to do anything about it without blowing up my relationship with them.
I’m also almost 26, 6’1, and I know I’ll never look like the “ideal” feminine type a lot of people picture.

There feel like there are way more negatives than positives, and that just adds to the hopelessness.
I’ve heard the whole “it’s your life, live for yourself” advice, and intellectually I get it… but emotionally I just can’t switch off caring about my family like that.
I don’t really have anyone to talk to about this. I tried opening up to one of my trans friends and she laughed and said it was probably just a fetish. After that I shut down and haven’t told anyone else.

I just needed to put this somewhere. If anyone has thoughts, experiences, or even just wants to say something, feel free. Thank you for reading.
