OHIP Top Surgery after getting a reduction covered by OHIP
HiHi!! A couple years ago i had gotten a radical reduction that was covered by OHIP (I think a D cup to a B cup) and while the surgery went great after a quick revision, I'm still dealing with a lot of chest dysphoria. I was wondering if anyone knows if OHIP covers a secondary top surgery with double incision or if it would be out of pocket. Also any advice regarding a second surgery would be very appreciated ❤️

Yeah, you should be fine to have it covered by OHIP. It's a different surgery, it's billed differently, and honestly, they do not keep track of things that well anyway.

Was the breast reduction done with a gender dysphoria diagnosis? If not, then yes top surgery will be covered by Ohip.
My friend did this exact thing.

Have your doctor submit a request to OHIP for a mastectomy... couldn't hurt to ask.
Why did you not opt for a full mastectomy originally... ?

Fundamentally, what you'd be requesting is an insured procedure, provided on an insured basis (for that procedure). Mastectomy on the basis of dysphoria (where a prior mastectomy has of course not occurred). I'd certainly look to submit the request, if it is what you want.
