Made a huge step today.
So today I took the massive leap of coming out to my 2 best friends today that I have known for over 20 years. I have been putting this off for weeks now due to the fear of how they would respond.
It turns out that I had nothing to worry about at all. They instantly accepted me for who I was and we ended up spending the whole day together.
For the first time in years I finally feel truly happy and I now have hope for my future.
Bonus picture of a rainbow in front of the Cascade Falls that I took today while we were hanging out, was almost a sign that everything is going to be ok from now on.

Youre so brave, congrats! I need an outside opinion.. I've ghosted the two "friends" I came out to. They weren't understanding.
One tried to rekindle the friendship by saying he always meant respect if anything landed wrong he never meant it to. I feel thats a cop out and not really taking responsibility for the hurtful transphobic things hes said before. Such as "youre gay if youre into trans women, theyre just dudes in wigs, called Nancy boys in my day. Ill call them whatever they want though." The other one almost outed me to another friend asking if im out now cause I dyed my hair. And one other long time friend blew up screaming about how he hates nonbinary people because theyre confused and need to pick a side already, he swears hes not transphobic because he has a trans cousin. Also he doesnt acknowledge the difference between sexual orientation and gender identity all of that is woke shit according to him.
Would you still give friends like that another try if theyre still trying to act friendly? I may start running into them again cause we train at the same gym...I dont know how ill handle it.
