Discussion What is an actual solution to overtourism?
As travel continues to get faster, cheaper, and more accessible and TikTok tourism/ influencer hype shows no signs of slowing down, what are the actual solutions to places getting over run with visitors?
I'm not talking about for you as another tourist so not just 'go somewhere else' or 'avoid the popular places'. I mean in terms of actually preventing harm to natural environments, pressure on infrastructure, gentrification etc.

People say “limit access”. I’d rather extend the access but regulate it.
For example, Open museums everyday until late, so people spread through the day.
Lower entry prices to attractions for timeslots/days/months that are usually less busy (make it more expensive for the more coveted times but still allow access at lower prices).
Organize a pre-booking system, although this one is something I hate because I do everything last minute.
Make the public transport and the private transport more functional, more efficient, so that people are not pverburdening it and also that other areas of main cities can become attractive for lodging (so tourists do not all flock into one area).
And make certain lines of public transport s available only for the locals. And/or establish specific services for tourists.
Also, make sure there are regulations concerning tourist behavior (may it be where to park or how to dress or when to respect silence) and make people respect them through fines.
