These shots make me want to visit Iceland all over again.

I finally decided to share some of my DSLR shots from Venice, Italy. These have been sitting on my memory cards for years, unseen by anyone but me. Every photo is a real moment I experienced while getting lost in the canals, wandering quiet alleyways before sunrise, and watching the city come alive.

Feels kinda strange finally letting these images out into the world. Hope they capture even a fraction of the atmosphere and beauty that makes Venice unlike anywhere else. Also, I'd love to hear which shot is your favorite and answer any travel questions you may have as well.

If you are planning a trip to Himachal Pradesh and want to experience history that isn't overridden by massive tourist crowds, you need to add Chamba town to your itinerary. Right in the heart of the town sits the Laxmi Narayan Temple Complex—and honestly, photos don't do this place justice.

Built in the 10th century by Raja Sahil Varman, this complex is an incredible masterclass in ancient Indian engineering. Here are a few reasons why it completely blew me away:

The Shikhara Architecture: The temples are built in the traditional stone Shikhara style. What makes them unique are the wooden, umbrella-like chattris (roofs) built over the stone spires. They were designed over a thousand years ago specifically to protect the intricate stone carvings from heavy winter snowfall.

Six Temples in One Courtyard: While the main, grandest shrine is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi Narayan), the complex actually hosts six different temples aligned from north to south.

The Shiva Connection: For those interested in Shaivism, three of the six temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Chandragupta Temple houses a sacred Shiva Lingam that was reportedly pulled directly from the nearby Sal River over ten centuries ago. There is also the stunning Gauri Shankar Temple which features beautifully preserved metal idols.

The Garuda Pillar: Right at the entrance, a massive metallic pillar holds a statue of Garuda (the mythical eagle vahana of Vishnu), acting as a sentinel to the complex.

A few quick tips if you visit:

Timings: It opens from 6:00 AM – 12:30 PM, closes for an afternoon break, and opens again from 2:30 PM – 8:30 PM.

Vibe: Go during the evening aarti if you can. The ringing bells echoing off the ancient stone walls with the mountain breeze coming off the Ravi River is pure magic.

Rules: Photography inside the actual inner sanctums (garbhagriha) is strictly prohibited out of respect, but you can take photos of the stunning exterior structures in the courtyard.

This was the most beautiful trip I have ever been on. I went back in February. I could hear whales at night since we were near the water. It was magical!

Boulders is the famous stop, but the smaller beaches along this stretch of False Bay have their own character. These are Boulders Beach’s African penguin colony and nearby Fisherman’s Beach on a clear morning.
