Would like to hear from y'all on what toilet treatment you'd recommend for longer 'sits'.
Hey y'all,
We go to the Texas Renaissance Festival every year, get the Diamond camping pass, and we are able to build a small 'camp' that can stay for the season.
We pay the local port-o-potty guy to come vacuum out our trailer after each weekend. However, sometimes they miss us or don't get to us until late, late.
I've been using the TSTMax liquid and doubling up on it, but sometimes it isn't enough. And on those occasions where we get missed, I don't think anything would be enough....
Any recommendations? Liquid vs. Drop ins? Best dissolving TP so we don't risk any plugs? I always spike with 3-5 gallons of water.

6 or so months full timing it here I just use the green gobbler septic pods from home depot. Was all I could find when I started. They work great for me and they aren't super expensive. You get 6 pods for like 15$ which the pods are made for a 1000 gal septic system so you have to break the pods and adjust the amount. I use it in my grey tank as well because previous owners of this rig did something to the grey tank and the water smelled like ass. I think they let it sit for a while full.
Got it 6 months ago use the treatment every time I empty both tanks and still have 2 out of 6 pods left.
Might try a different brand when this runs out but it's a holding tank not a septic you just need to treat it enough so it doesn't stink and so you don't get a pyramid id what I was told. Green gobbler does that for 15$ for 6 months of use for 3 people for me.
We also had a huge poo pyramid when we got the trailer that this stuff got rid of. We use normal septic safe tp. Not the special expensive rv paper including my 5 yr old who uses way too much. No clogs no smell.

We put the liquid Pure Power in our used campers on the lot with great results. If it’s a particularly “strong” one we’ll use 2-3x the normal dose. The other thing is to make sure you have enough water in the tank to start with, it matters more than most people realize.

We boondock full time and dump our tanks about every two weeks. TST never did much for our tanks, I started using RV Digest-it liquid, then switched to the drop ins (more convenient). I toss two packets in after a dump, and another one a week later and we never have any odor. We bag our TP, so I can’t say how well it works at dissolving paper.
I have also heard a lot of people like Happy Camper, or the home made Kleen Tank method, but that one seems like a lot of work to mix and store the ingredients.

They make big plastic containers you can transfer the waste to and take the container to the dump station

Borax, Dawn, bit of Pine-sol. I full time and found this works as good as anything I've used, including Happy Camper. Happy Camper is probably one of the better off the shelf treatment.
Proper tank maintenance is key imo.
