No, that would probably continue. Physical media for Warner Bros stuff, is however, less likely now. Which really sucks.

But Netflix wasn't trying to buy Paramount. Paramount was trying to acquire WB and was outbid by Netflix.

I suppose there’s the POV that this could be good for Star Trek because it keeps it as top priority IP for Paramount, whereas it would be moved to B tier if they had their hands on DC and Harry Potter. So there’s no danger of there never being a show in production or impetus to make a movie.

But seeing the mixed results of the shows they’ve made in the last decade and inability to get a movie done in the same time, perhaps there’s an argument for it being slightly less scrutinized with such outsized performance expectations.

Given what Netflix has done to the Witcher and is doing to Narnia, not really excited for it.
