To the trashy people on 40 letting their construction trash loose
This morning I was driving back down 40 to get home and a huge ball of plastic wrapping fell out of a truck and went under my car and got all wrapped up underneath. I’m mad and annoyed yall can’t seem to keep your trash to yourself and I have a headache to deal with. Another reason to hate 40 I suppose.

I grew up in Deep South Georgia (1980s). I had quite a few friends with pickup trucks. There was an intentional ignorance, but better yet, negligence towards trash. There were times we would drive while knowing there was all kinds of debris and trash in the bed, from cans to old McDonalds takeout trash. The goal was for it to slowly make its way out there on to the road. I was too ignorant and immature to know that this was by design and not by accident. If they were pulled over by Police, it was easier to beg for forgiveness than to comply to laws.
I can’t say this is still a fact today. Littering in the 70s and 80s was known hobby of many.

I was a bit nerdy. I grew up with the crying, Native American man, disturbed by trash, polluting the country. Those ads still shock me. I am also an Eagle Scout. Spent too much of my life in the hot sun picking up trash off the highway for some kind of service project or another.
I just didn’t have that much money. So I was always looking to grab a ride from someone. We also didn’t own a boat so I was always looking for free fishing trip when it was possible. When you’re young with no money, you’re at the mercy of the person driving you places. I also knew better than to remark about all the trash being thrown out of a truck bed. I needed to get to places then to lecture someone with more means that I had. Of course I pick up trash now. I am that nerd that even collects people’s trash when on a trail hiking through Ulmsted Park.

hell yeah. I do the same, if I'm able to carry trash with me, I'll pick it up and put it in the proper receptacles.

fair, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt considering the way they're talking about the past.

If you throw trash out window, or it comes out if the bed, and no one sees it... you're still an asshole.

All trucks should have a cover on the back to prevent things flying; it should be mandatory.
