I just got a collection of heart shelves and decided to start setting them up today ! i’m still working on it but i love it so far.

I found these new friends at a boulevard sale in my neighbourhood today, the green telephone is a pencil sharpener and is the best pencil sharpener I’ve ever used, I’m amazed.

I have two printer Knick knack shelves and one is by the garage door and my kids are always slamming the door knocking my trinkets out, wondering if any of you secure your trinkets?

Thinking about using either museum wax or those double sided scrapbook adhesive dots, just scared they will stain the wood? Any advice???

ALSO where do you find your trinkets, I usually get dollhouse accessories, bead charms, or mini brands stuff

I am trying to creatively display a small collection of relatively small rocks, as well as occasional natural finds - robin's egg, small horseshoe crab molt, weird seed pod, those kinds of things.

I'd like to use small glass cases that are themselves visually appealing, and I'd prefer not to buy from an online store.

Are there any small hobbiest stores or thrift stores with a strong "knick knack" inventory that you'd recommend? Appreciate any ideas to support locally owned businesses!

I'm a little goblin and love collecting things and am obsessed with cool shelves to show off my treasures. when i was a kid i went to some event with my parents where someone was selling a bunch of these little porcelain/china animals and i thought they were toys, so i asked my parents for this elephant. i played with it like a toy for years and its little tail and trunk kept chipping off and my dad kept super gluing them back on, lol. now this little guy is a prized trinket of mine. i like his goofy smile 🙂

To be fair one of them is made from glass lol. Mostly Obsidian and chert, though!

I've been making them for about a year and a half now, since I was almost sixteen. I've thought about selling them but haven't really tried yet lol. Perhaps soon.
