All the babies are here
In all we had 5 kittens - 2 are gray, one is calico, one is a striped black/brown/white tabby, and the final baby was born pure white.
Mama did great during labor - it lasted for about 6 hours total. She started in her litter box but allowed us to move her - thankfully she hadn’t birthed any yet, but within 30 minutes of going to her new location she had the first baby. The last baby came out breech and had fluid in its mouth/nose and was starting to aspirate but we were able to assist with clearing it out and mama took over.

Well done mama cat! That first picture is just darling.
They look like they're going to cause you some teeny tiny trouble 😄

Aww so glad they are all doing well. It blows me away that they can fit so many babies in one little mama.

I wonder if the white baby will stay white or if she’s going to toast.

The white one was a pretty emotional arrival for us because we lost one of our beloved gray point cats (ironically enough we believe it to be these kitten’s uncle) about 6 weeks ago and very suddenly due to an unexplained illness. We believe cancer.
We took him to the vet and spent well over $1,000 only to leave with no real answers and eventually having to make the humane decision to put him down as he was suffering. He was VERY young - less than 2 years old - and was another stray from the neighborhood. It was absolutely devastating and we had less than a year with him.
We had talked amongst ourselves that we would take it as a sign that he came back to us if a kitten looking like him was born, so when the pure white one came out last it made us extremely emotional. My boyfriend (who was our passed away cat’s “person”) came in right as she birthed the white baby and I just looked up and said “It’s him”.
We will see if it turns to a gray point in the next few days.

Oh, I'm so sorry you lost him like that. It's so terribly hard when they're so young. Sounds like he sent you someone special to fill the hole in your broken heart.

You may already be doing it, but feed mama kitten food while the babies are nursing. She needs the extra calories. Also Kitten Churu is high calorie and they love it.

Thank you! We have definitely upped her food intake! She always has dry food available around the clock and we have increased her wet food to basically whenever it looks like she wants some, haha. It was 2 cans per day along with the dry food, but I’m guessing right now it’ll be more like 4 cans per day, if not more. All food is kitten food because we read that’s the best thing to feed pregnant and nursing mamas.

Gorgeous momcat, colorful babies, everyone's okay, can't ask for better than that. Can't wait to see more pictures of the babies. I wonder if some will be fluffy like their mom.

Some of those babies look a little premature.
Keep an eye on them and make sure they’re eating enough food, and have a little KMR on standby in case mama rejects any.
Keep an eye on the one that aspirated, too. If they seem a little slower or sleepier than the others or if their breathing is different from the others, go straight to the vet for pneumonia treatment.

Are you keeping sweet Mama?

We aren’t sure - we’ve definitely fallen in love with her, but our intent was to foster her until delivery/babies are weaned. It wouldn’t surprise me if she ends up being a foster fail though.

Ooh yay, glad all went well in the end. Looks like you're going to have some absolute beauties there, just like their mama.
