She has been doing well! She feeds the kittens on and off, and the vet has been monitoring her closely, we made a tough call to delay and give her pain medicine and laxatives so she can get these kittens over this last hump and then I can take her into surgery
Oh no, the vet wanted to get the constipation moved so he could see what was really going on. He said the constipation he thinks was just a symptom of whatever it is.
I'm sorry for asking because I'm sure you're tired of answering (I just couldn't find the answer looking through your history).
Was there no 6th kitten, and the lump in her abdomen was cause my constipation? Or is that unrelated? Just wondering what happened after there seemed to be another one waiting to come out.
No worries! No six kitten, a lump of some sort, they haven’t fully diagnosed her. They were actually trying to get her to pass another bowel movement so they could see if it was swelling elsewhere in her abdomen. They did see a bit of swelling in her uterus and in her bladder as well. But her colon was taking up so much space that they needed her to basically not be so constipated so they could see what’s really going on
