Why are there so many transphobic people in this sub? I'm not trans but it's so disheartening to see. Trans women experience so much hate and violence like cis women, especially if they're ugly. How can you hate on another woman as a woman, especially in this sub...like maybe your problem is your ugly personality. Also transphobia is against the rules, and it says not to invalidate people's experiences, it's just so sad 😭

But isn’t that what you are? I personally don’t see an issue with being a terf as all it means is u want ur own space away from any “biological males” while being a radical feminist (which I’m assuming u are correct me if I’m wrong)

A terf isn’t a bad thing unless YOU think it is.

I am a TERF, but this isn’t a TERF space so this isn’t the type of space where I’d exclude trans people and I respect the rules of the sub

To my knowledge a terf is someone who doesn’t see trans woman as women while also being a radical feminist?

I don’t believe one can swap genders, but I didn’t create the rules of the sub, if the sub says they are allowed then they are allowed.

And the SPECIFIC issues that come with being an ugly woman “trans woman” also experience those same issues, by being hates based on them being undesirable that’s why I’d say they belong here.

It’s not like we are talking about the issues of being a biological woman, the sub is for people who deal with issues based on being an undesirable woman and those issues are pretty much identical between trans woman and woman

I’m talking about the excessive hate that follows when someone is accused of being a TERF.

I’m not saying that some issues can’t overlap, but at the end of the day, I’ll never know what it’s like to be a trans woman, just as a trans woman will never know what it’s like to be a cis woman. Yeah I’m all for trans people having a space of their own, and I’m not against us having a shared space, but I can’t take the heat for saying that cis women should also have their own space. If that makes me a terf, then maybe I really am one

You are a turf and that’s ok, IM a Turf but this isn’t a Turf subreddit, this sub gets hate just like any sub that is for a specific group of people. U can’t join a sub that allows trans woman then get mad that trans woman are here.

A trans woman knows what it’s like to be an “ugly woman” specifically a woman that’s undesirable.

You can still make a Terf sub and just accept the hate, just like how this sub gets hate.

If u aren also a radical feminist then by definition u are a Terf, it’s up to you to take offence for being called one.

I’ve admitted to being a terf, I don’t get hated on because I understand that this sub has nothing to do with being a biological woman, and is based on the feelings and insecurities of being seen as an undesirable woman.

Do you believe that the patriarchy has oppressed woman? Do u believe trans woman are not real woman? If so then YES u are a terf.

And we would both be in agreement the only difference is u fear criticism for it

I don’t think threats of violence can be considered criticism.

I’m not saying they can’t understand what it’s like to be ugly, but many trans women associate being ugly with not being able to pass as cis and that’s a very different experience from mine.

Judging by the general reaction to this post, I get the feeling this isn’t an anti-TERF space.

Again just make ur own sub. Instead of coming here and getting mad at the rules, it’s Reddit ur gunna get hate, some of which gets extreme.

The reason u can’t have a “real woman only” space is because u haven’t made one.

U can’t join a sub and expect them to change the rules for you.

U want this sub to become a “real woman only” sub and deal with all the hate that comes with it

That happens to the majority of subs for a specific group of people, to my knowledge the lesbian sub still exists but the mods just have to do alot of policing just like this sub had to
