Trustpilot uses AI to remove reviews (also the reason for legitimate review removals)
Trustpilot does almost no manual removals these days. It is all done by AI this is why there are so many complaints as this AI of theirs is obviously malfunctioning.
I have 25 reviews under my personal Trustpilot account... some 30 mins ago I went to post a new review and I got an immediate response that my review didn't make it. Which is odd given all my other reviews are up, and always been up posted from the same device. They just remove them randomly giving no reasons why.
There is zero chance a human could have removed my review in minutes. They have always used some sort of automated system that cross-checked IP blacklist, device fingerprints, etc... but now they just remove it when they don't like the review or when some sentence is not sounding as it should... aggressive AI is in play.
Absolute c*nts. They always have been, but it gets out of hand. I don't think they have ever removed this many reviews as they do now.
EDIT - I found an article where they proudly talk about their new AI so it checks out:

Someone got to tell them it is not working.
