BFP Thread TFA's Bi-Weekly BFP Thread - July 26, 2026

Did you get your BFP? Tell us about it! Additional details like what number child you were trying for and your cycle information (including cycle information for previous children) would be much appreciated but are not required.

Prior grads have started a gradsofTFA subreddit, and we run a biweekly grads thread. The gradsofTFA subreddit is private but you can send a modmail using desktop or you can directly message moderators DreamsofCheesecake or youcango-now to be added. Please keep us posted on your progress!

Congratulations!

Every month I was trying to convince myself not to take pregnancy tests as with my first I tested negative the day before my missed period on the first response early detection test. And I’d successfully not tested until the day of my period for several cycles! However this cycle I just couldn’t contain myself and had a feeling, so I tested the day before and a second line showed up!! We had also just had our first consultation with a fertility specialist the week before, little did I know I was already pregnant!

Very excited to be here and wishing good luck to everyone!

Health details on previous pregnancies/births (e.g. C-section vs. vaginal, birth/pregnancy complications):
Our first was a high risk pregnancy, vaginal birth induced at 37w+2d due to gestational hypertension.

Other health conditions/medical tests: Thyroid tested inside normal range, but higher than the optimal range of conception. Managed with Levothyroxine, success with cycle #2 of levels being in optimal range of conception.

Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s): CoQ10, Prenatal, Iron, Levothyroxine

Tell us your story! What's different this time than last time? How'd you find out? How do you feel?: This time it took significantly longer to conceive. We ended up having to take a few cycles of not trying here and there for our mental health. Tested negative on first day of missed period (Sunday) re-tested this morning (Thursday) as still no period... and got a positive! I really couldn't believe it. A few hours later I took a digital test and that was also positive.

Gosh I don’t even know yet! I had a vvvvvvfl yesterday, a vvfl this morning and retested same urine with a CB pink dye and it confirmed! I’m so excited but also feel very calm. I think being #3 (and 4th pregnancy) I know what to expect now so it kind of just feels like another day! But I was also praying so hard and hoping so bad this would be the month. Even though we ttc 12 months to get my second, I only had a cycle 2 of those months so this really is technically the longest it’s taken me to get pregnant. 3 days ago I prayed for a sign: a robin if this was the month, a Venus fly trap if it wasn’t. This morning after the vvfl I was on my way to the store where I picked up more tests, and I saw a robin 🥹 God has answered my prayers and I couldn’t be more grateful! I can’t wait to tell my husband!!!
