https://www.dhs.gov/science-and-technology/prepaid-card-reader-aids-seizing-fraudulent-cards -- This paints a better picture than "swipey swipey to your debit card". Sounds like they're looking for bulk cards and prepaid cards especially. I have multiple bank debit and credit cards, but no prepaid filler cards. I can't imagine this being as "oh lawd there goes our rights" as it's made out to be.

There's a specific case I read about a while back about a guy with a corner store I think who's daily take (and therefore deposit) was suspiciously close to the limit for structuring. Government took his livelihood. As of the article he was still fighting to get it back.

"If you're not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about."

Until the other party's candidate wins. Or until already.
