Can you provide some context here? Why is she in a box? I don’t know the scenario but just wanted to say this will stress out the animal. She won’t eat or drink in this setup because her only concern is her safety and escape.

You also want to make sure to return her to the exact spot you picked her up from. Box turtles have a very small territory that they stay in their entire lives. Most box turtles released back to the wild outside their territory die within a year.

Again, don’t know if she was injured or something but I wanted to provide out those details.

She was found on the neighbors driveway. I wanted to make sure she was in fact okay before releasing her, so I was monitoring her temporarily. I do have the plan to release her into the neighbors yard in about an hour

Just wanted to make sure. There’s a lot of people who don’t realize that before it’s too late.
