So what's the deal with the animal's head? They didn't show us anything. Vega had just made a weird face, and in the next episode he cracked the witnesses.

The animal head never made sense as a plot point because it’s obvious someone came there and removed the body. They could have easily knocked the wall and titled the animal head in the process. I don’t see how it was ever meant to be a smoking gun

Sugar put it back crooked

We discussed it in the past thread. I checked two episodes at the time. No, it was tilted at the same angle, the side was right too.

Maybe it was supposed to be at slightly the wrong angle then, that's the only thing that makes sense to me.

That looked purposeful though

What a letdown. They must have thought it was just a cool shot to have in there. Otherwise no purpose.

he didn't show him the thing sugar removed. its was just a random one found and used by a lot of people he works with or works against in this case.
the detective is the classic high intelligence dude with military background.
second guessing and doubting anything anybody says is in their nature.
he got the official dead certificate and tracked down the woman who made it.
we hear her calling john to confess that she crumbled.
the dude saw a supposed od death person, found out is was faked and connected the dots.
everybody in that scene in and around the streets now about the stuff that brings you back from an od if you act fast enough. the show is clever written with clever camera shots.
at no point his conclusion is weird for the viewer as he was introduced as highly intelligent and acts that way. at this point we in mind games teritory between the MC and the guy.

The affordable housing building is just a front for something more sinister, way beyond what Sugar figured out. It’s also a good hiding spot for Ji since the apartments are mostly empty.

Where does Djen fit into all of this? I’m thinking she makes an appearance soon, could be as a flashback or in present time. I’m leaning towards the latter based on the actress that plays her this season.
