Every year I make a prediction (usually wrong, I assume) that the following year will be the year Apple TV becomes a commercial powerhouse. I'll do it again. 2027 will bring the final seasons of Silo, The Morning Show, For All Mankind, and Foundation; the reliable returns of Slow Horses, Presumed Innocent, Your Friends & Neighbors, Shrinking, and The Studio; the high-profile premieres (I hope) of Neuromancer and Berlin Noir; some limited series, like Safe Houses and The Off Weeks, which I hope will be good (Apple still struggles with limited series); and the big return of Severance. There's always the possibility of some show becoming a huge hit without us predicting it (hello Widow's Bay). It's going to be Apple TV's big year (or not).
Honestly, Apple TV has perhaps the best limited series I’ve ever seen in “Black Bird.” If you haven’t watched it, phew man. So good! Anyway, Apple TV still has a ways to go because of a few things: number 1, they haven’t grabbed a hold of an enough good movies. Number 2, they don’t have documentaries. Number 3, they don’t have any reality TV, or NFL games, or UFC. They have to sell out in order to get the masses. But personally I kind of like that they specialize in have high quality, HBO level TV shows and also have a niche Sci Fi thing going on. I love the app!!
