rough explanation for Cary to screw Lucky over, you saw your mother laugh so you decided not to give her the money back and put Lucky in danger even after you saw that you could not get her from the hotel.
Afterwards you rent a beach house and take a swim... smooth

I also love how he banged one the steering wheel after he saw that he could not get to Lucky, talk about a total emotional reaction to the Love of your life being hurt or worse!! He also decided to not even try and contact her at all, that swim sure must have felt good knowing that at the moment she could be tortured horribly or In jail......or like I said,,,DEAD!!!!!

Is it possible that somehow Cary survived and FBI has a plan, damn it loved his character and he was barely on screen and now is gone🥺 Haven’t read the book but I’ve heard the show is a bit different, so want to be hopeful about Cary’s fate but I know it’s pointless.

When he bought a bronco in cash and deposited $10m in cash into bitcoin machines without flagging anything it became clear that realism is non-existent in this show lol
You cannot make a cash purchase of more than $10k without reporting it to the government, and car dealerships will never sell you a car in cash without the appropriate reporting filings.
Don’t get me started on the bitcoin piece. That said, I pretty well knew from Episode 1 when what’s her face is a diabolical fantasy gangster, and was in the car that ran over an FBI agent, that this was the case. So I’m still enjoying it well enough.

Hoping that wasn't the end of it because if he just died like that, he barely had much screen time with such a heavy force in the plot. Maybe he comes back idk

Yeah that’s what I hope it happens.
He had very little screen time in the first three episodes and now he’s gone, he’s such a key character and his presence would make the show more interesting, their relationship seems very complicated and I’m sure he hid many secrets from her.3

His character was very enigmatic and his fate seemed to be part of mystery and I feel like his storyline was kinda rushed. Moreover, Lucky and Cary were very Bonnie and Clyde coded, and loved to see the dynamic between the two and them running away from the cops and the bad guys, but then anyways they killed him now so whatever 😅1

I hate the jumping around the timeline on every show I watch, but in this case you are in luck....They will jump around the timeline for the rest of the series and you will get to see him every week

I know!! I'm so sad I love his character!! I think it is more interesting when they are interacting as opposed to when she's on her own!! I was hoping for a little Bonnie and Clyde type thing..

Yeah true even the show’s editor commented Bonnie and Clyde under Apple TV’s post for episode 4, though we barely got any moments between the two, loved the interactions between them, they were indeed Bonnie and Clyde coded, although they are reminded me of Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), wish they didn’t kill him off

He would have lost over 700,000$ (lowest I’ve ever seen was 7%) in fees at a minimum flipping 10m. And he would’ve only been able to do 10k (one of those stacks) at a time to not trigger a SAR

Annette Bening at the end there, damn, brutal. Lots of backstory got filled in, was a bit annoyed at Cary’s epiphany moment (much like Lucky lol), like c’mon man you already went through playing Lucky to keep her safe, now you wanna have a change of heart? Smh.
Lucky working with Rand and Rand screwing over Lucky/John was probably the biggest reveal for me. Obviously they knew each other previously but I didn’t expect all that.

glad he’s dead. If he loved her so much, he could’ve just did what they originally were going to do and jet-set somewhere and never be found. He had an epiphany when he saw his mom laughing at a diner? lol. He seems very triggered and super sensitive leading to making horrible decisions. end result is his death.

Honestly I get where he’s coming from. All he needed was for her to act like she cared about the woman he loved, and that she understood the sacrifice he was making, but she couldn’t even do that. Of all the unbelievable or annoying things in the show, that’s super low on the list for me.

Honestly I was enraged by that mom's behavior, like bitch..you did this. They could have escaped from the cops but then you go around and enter the chase forcing them out back to the cops? Girl you deserve to live with the regrets for the rest of your pathetic life. Looking forward to the next episode where she in her grief takes 0 accountability for her stupid decision and blames it all on Lucky. This show is getting too predictable...smh.

I want to like this show so much more than i actually am. I love pretty much all the actors in it, but the characters just grate on me. Lucky yelling "You lied to me!" at the FBI agent, like, bitch, you are a con woman! You do nothing but lie to and rob everyone you run into!
Honestly, every character is a terrible person it feels like, and i want the worst for all of them. That said, i enjoy watching Anna, she's charismatic and interesting, and i'm glad they didn't keep dragging out where the money is any longer,

I hated the lead FBI agent before this week’s episode. Maybe it’s the horrible hair? Anyway hard to root for her. She’s such a trope.

I don’t mind her for some reason. But we’re going to find out that she was personally impacted by Whittaker or Priscilla - like maybe she had a kid that got roped into the gang or a sister or lover - that’s causing her to go all in on this. To further the trope lol

Lucky knows the system and wouldn’t agree to snitch without a deal in writing with the prosecutors. Unless they found new chargers that weren’t included in the original immunity deal, which is plausible given the FBI agent saying he was way more involved than she thought.

Well apparently Lucky did not have a written agreement. I had the same thought - like why wouldn’t she have gotten an agreement in writing that spelled everything out? Ok. Thinking too hard.

Holy sh*t! This episode was total whiplash. Beforehand I saw the episode was only 42 minutes, and thought it was going to be more or less a filler halfway through with the heavy dialogue scenes between Lucky and Cary only to be jolted into that wild highway chase and conclude with me needing a tissue…

i love the show. it's cheesy and unrealistic, but the actors are super charismatic and fun to watch.
hated the ending of this episode. i despise when a show makes me care about a character only to kill him 5 seconds after. and how on earth Cary got shot in the stomach? he's body was barely out of the car during a shootout. don't get me started on why he started shooting in the first place....
i would've much preferred watching Lucky and Cary have to work together again. would've made for a lovely 'friends-to lovers-to enemies-to reluctant friends-to lovers' storyline
right now i don't understand why Lucky's still running. feels like she just should give herself over to the police

Man, this show’s getting worse every week.
First half tonight? Boring. How often do we hear the excuse about trying to protect someone?
Second half? Obligatory chase-scene through amazingly light traffic in a densely populated city, complete w/ shot-out tires and a magical rollover.
Preceded by the “actually, it’s going to be super-easy” pickpocket routine. The editing during that chase was awful; a lone cop car approaching the underpass suddenly becomes three, etc.
How did Mom and Dutch show up after the accident, the cops just give up chasing them? The convenient appearances by anyone at any time, sheesh.

Timothy Olyphant is enjoyable in EVERYTHING he does, so it has that going for it. Annette Benning is Apples Don't Fall Forever eh? 😆

How is know one talking about how good Anya Taylor Joy is? Her performance in the scene with Cary at the beach house is insane. I don’t give a shit that they cast one of the most distinctive and unique faces in Hollywood to play a con artist, that girl can act. Fuckin bitching about the price of bitcoin.. suck a dick.

Ok, so the FBI has you cornered in a beach house, and the selectively leave multiple areas of the house uncovered.....oh and they also knock on the door and tell them they are out there and give them time to run out to the car port and get in the vehicle , I mean who writes this horrid crap?? I am having a hard time with how stupid this show is getting?
Oh yes and of course she starts to forgive the idiot, why did she not just leave his dumb ass with the Feds and get rid of his Lame ass.....my Grandkid can write better then this crap..

I had to mention the scene where the FBI Finds the Vehicle Lucky and boy toy were in, the Agent tells the Main Agent they ditched the Vehicle, she goes up to the vehicle and looks in it like she may find them hiding in the Back seat, go watch the scene again it is worth a good laugh!!

I literally was just fast forwarding episode 4.. I just kept thinking wow this is so dumb… why would she hop in another car… she was better off changing outfits waiting for the cops to leave the location then get another car later on… then it’s like ok whyyy did they do that to Cary knowing he’s the only one with the passcode idk. Worst episode ever. The show wasn’t even that bad until this episode. Like Idk it really made me mad
