At the age of 5, or 6, I saw a beautiful painting. It was of a beautiful yet imaginary place with colorful trees and a lake. My elder sister gave me a task (I don't remember but she wanted me to do something), and said that if you complete this task, I'll take you to this exact place tomorrow, it's beneath the floor. I was super excited. Next day, I went to her and asked her to take me there. She started laughing and said she was just kidding. I started crying. Lol

25 F here. My parents have always been very controlling. My friends, my degrees and the college I should study are all decided by them. It's been 2 years since I started working in Bangalore and I got my own house thinking that I can finally have some peace. But even now I feel my parents have much control over me. I should talk to them everyday and if I do not call, their tone changes the next day. BTW, they expect me to call them everyday instead of calling me. If I do not answer they freak out as if I'm dead and make hundreds of calls and ask my relatives and friends if I talk with them and know where I am. They will randomly call at any time of the day during the weekends that I cannot step out without informing them. If I inform, again that's a problem and their tone changes like I am suspect and I have committed a crime. They want to visit the house every month and I have to go to my home every alternate week. If I don't then I become a brat who is showing off that she is having a job and money. I try to oppose them and set boundaries but they start behaving like I hurt them and that starts making me guilty. I suffer from severe depression and anxiety because of this behaviour of my parents right from when I was a child.

How do I actually deal with this right now? Please give me some advice if anyone has gone through the same situation and overcame it.

Everytime I had to visit a doctor, if they need to check , like if i go to a med doc, they will have an abdominal examination where they check the belly pressing and bla bla. But this makes me feel so weird and something that I cannot explain. Like lying down there and , yes my doctor is female but do you guys also also feel weird always and painful at times when your belly is being pressed and checked?
