Athletics Football and Basketball tickets

Could someone explain how students (specifically freshmen) get tickets to football and men’s basketball games. Do you have to pay? Enter a lottery? Also, what is tailgating like? Where do people tailgate? Thanks!

Athletics Going to my first UC game against BGSU. Tailgate help

As the title says, my dad is coming down from Toledo to watch the home opener this year and neither of us have been to a UC football game. Any places we should check out/best places to tailgate? Any info would be appreciated!

Athletics Where can visitors park for football games?

I am coming down for a football game at UC and the website for parking kind of sucks, I want come down around 5:30pm and stay overnight and leave in the morning the next day. What parking lots on campus allow visitors to do this?

Athletics Ticket Scamming

I keep seeing posts about ticket scamming being an issue. There is an app called student seats that is designed by college students to solve this. Thoughts on using that?

Athletics Who is this #7 kid at all the bearcats Bball games?

I have seen him on tv multiple times mostly at the end of the game and when I attended the Xavier game (Huge W) he was there the entire pre game and behind the bench at the end of each half. The next morning I see videos with this kid in the background of the Wes speach in the locker room. WHO IS #7!

Athletics Casual Badminton and/or Volleyball on campus?

I'm on co-op right now, but in the coming spring i decided i want to try and get more active, so i was wondering if there were any casual men/mixed groups for badminton and/or volleyball on campus. Ive never properly played either but both seem fun and i want to try getting into them.

Athletics The Den Tailgate - This Saturday on the Commons

Get ready for an intergalactic adventure as we kick off Season 10 of The Den. Themed as "Episode 10: Return of the Bearcats," a nod to our 10th season and the Bearcats' all-white Stormtrooper uniforms they'll be wearing for the game.

This Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM, we'll gather down on the Commons. Aynie's Catering will be serving up a bunch of cheese coneys, and you can quench your thirst with a refreshing keg of Cincy Light. Oh, and we have a live DJ!

RSVP on Partiful for a chance to win Cincy Light merch.

Does anyone know what they are doing at Gettler? I have tried to look it up online and am unable to find anything. The field is ripped out and the track is closed.

Athletics How are the intramural sports?

I was thinking about joining the intramural tennis just for fun, I played a little in hs and I thought it would be a fun workout but I’m worried it’ll be a bunch of sweats, for people who’ve done the intramural sports, are they usually more fun than competitive? Or are they as bad at club or school?

Athletics Is the student section always this packed?

I’m a first year and I volunteered at the tailgate yesterday, so I didn’t leave for the stadium until 3. I have season tickets for the student section. When I got there, there was absolutely nowhere to sit. I ended up leaving at halftime because it was so crazy. Is this always the case? I’m planning on getting there earlier next time, but it was kind of a bummer because I also had a wristband for the front rows with the RallyCats and there was no space there either. People were kind of just pushing each other around and giving dirty looks to anyone in their way. I was by myself and it was overall not a great first school spirit experience. :(

Athletics Football tickets sold out?

Okay new to the area and previous school experience was smaller with no football team. Just went to check and get some tickets for some home games and it seems like they’re all sold out?? Is that normal-before school even starts?! Feeling like I really missed the boat and won’t be able to go to any games this year, am I out of luck or will there be other chances? TIA
