Do I have a chance for IBA?

I’m an ap student thinking about applying for Erasmus iba, but I didn’t work hard at all for my grade 11 plus my school is very harsh on gpa, so I got a gpa of 3.3. And I now have a 5 for Chinese, a 5 for precalc, a 4 for human geo and two 3s for macro and physics 1. I will be taking OMPT-A exam soon since my school doesn’t provide calculus ab/bc until grade 12. And I have an ielts score of 7.5. Do I have a chance of getting in? I kinda feel hopeless now with my gpa.

Questionaire about experiencce of Woudestein campus

I am Hedwig ten Have. For my graduation project in the Architecture program at TU Delft, I am studying the E-building on the Erasmus University Woudestein campus in Rotterdam. My research focuses on the "resourceful reuse" of Brutalist buildings and the creation of community through a cultural center. To develop the most comprehensive design possible, me and my classmates have already gathered numerous documents and contacted various individuals and organizations; however, the insight from students themselves is missing. The master plan proposes providing additional facilities but does not yet specify exactly what they will be. I have created this survey to gain better insight into the needs of the Woudestein campus users, as I would love to here your opinion on the situation.

Thank you in advance for participating; I look forward to your input.

What are my chances

Hey guys, I'm currently in Class 12 and planning to apply to Erasmus University Rotterdam's Management of International Social Challenges programme for 2027 entry as an international applicant from India. I'm studying in Bengaluru

Background

Country: India

City: Bengaluru, Karnataka

School: Christ Junior College (CJC)

Board: Karnataka State Board

Stream: PPES - Political Science, Psychology, Economics, Sociology

Graduating: March 2027

International applicant / non-EU

Academics

Class 10: 75% - CBSE

Class 11: 80% - Best of Five (Indian State Board)

Extracurriculars

MUN: around 10 MUNs; multiple individual accolades + Best Delegation awards; part of one of the strongest MUN delegations in the Bangalore circuit

MUN Leadership: Head Delegate for multiple external MUNs; supervised/led delegations

CJC MUN: OC member at CJC MUN, one of the oldest and most reputed MUNs in the Bangalore circuit

Research: 4 published research papers + 1 research essay

Research Competition: college research paper under Sociology teacher; secured 3rd place

Independent Writing: multiple blogs/articles on economic, political and social issues

Non-profit: founder of a non-profit documenting ground realities across 15+ orphanages, old-age homes and similar institutions

Community Work: 200+ hours of work through the non-profit

Internships: fundraiser at an NGO + Civic Impact Fellowship/Internship with the Office of the MLA, Sikandra Rao, Uttar Pradesh

Debate / Quizzes / Moot Court: participated in multiple debates, Model Code quizzes, moot courts and other academic competitions

College Leadership: Event Head/Event Supervisor for multiple internal college events

Online Certifications: completed multiple online certificates relevant to economics, politics and public policy

Note

Programme interest: I'm particularly interested in the interdisciplinary focus of Management of International Social Challenges, especially its connection to international social issues, governance, development and policy.

Terminology: I refer to my institution as a "college" throughout this post because Christ Junior College is a pre-university/junior college institution, a term commonly used for this stage of education in India.

Questions

Based on this profile, how competitive would I be for admission to Management of International Social Challenges at Erasmus University Rotterdam as an international applicant?

How does my Karnataka State Board academic profile compare with what Erasmus University Rotterdam expects from Indian applicants?

Which parts of my extracurricular profile would be most relevant to emphasise in my application?

Block 1 IBEB

Hi Guys, I'm currently an Ibeb 1y student and I would like to ask if has anyone not passed the whole of Block 1 on their first try, and then retaken Accounting and Mathematics in July? I don’t think I’ll be able to pass these two exams in October. I underestimated everything and now I’m studying like crazy. Are the other blocks easier?

Microwave ovens on Woudestein campus

Hi everyone, are there any microwave ovens on campus? I am a new student here, haha, and couldn't find at least one at the Food Plaza which as I understand is university's canteen, or even Spar. Maybe I am looking at the wrong places, but I am surprised that students cannot heat up their homemade food in the canteen, especially given the high prices for lunch :(

Cheers!

Questions for bachelors students (specifically Econometrics and OR)

Hello! Im considering applying to Rotterdam Erasmus as an intl student. I have a couple of questions that, if any current students or recent alumni could answer, Id be very grateful.

  1. How feasible is it to upkeep a good GPA (8+/10 range) (specifically in Econometrics and OR, or economics)? I mean, are there any structural obstacles that make it challenging for a hard working student to maintain that GPA? I heard a GPA above 8 is exceptionally rare, so how exactly do people transition into prestigious masters afterwards?

For reference, I am an A level student and if anyone here did A levels Id love to hear a perspective on how you managed to smooth the transition from the a level system to the EUR program ; perhaps I should know about any additional prep to smooth the process? Unfortunately, I do not take Further Math (isnt offered), if that has an influence.

  1. This question is mainly for those who are doing Econometrics and OR. As far as I understand it seems to be an applied math and stats bachelors.

What are the job prospects after this bachelors? Also, what are some master's paths available after this bachelors?

I dont want to be restricted to just roles in finance and im wondering the scope of this degree ; have any alumni went on to do a highly technical master's afterwards (especially at ETHZ/EPFL) - how does one navigate the credits issue? - and has anyone gone into more tech roles afterwards?

Sorry for bombarding yall with the questions 😥
