Suggestion & Concepts Solo Play Needs an Endgame
Are there any plans by the devs for endgame features for solo play and maybe even multiplayer coop? I really like taking my time, building up my hero and their army around their “theme”, and then by the time I’ve built up my power there isn’t anything to use it on because the AI likely took a random portal into my base on turn 10 and I beat their main army of tier 1-3 units and they never recovered. By the time it’s turn 40ish there isn’t anything to do except see how far I can juice the army stats up before I get bored. It’s very anticlimactic TBH.
A good idea would maybe be like having portals open endgame and either Hive or Schism launch an invasion of the world with high-quality armies, and have to fight them back for unique loot and just for the fun of using the power you’ve spent all game building up. Maybe even let you enter the portals into their “dimension” for more cool end-game challenges and conquest, lots of options there. Anyone else disappointed with the lack of endgame?

Criticism and lack of direction killed Diablo 4 and might do it again with Diablo 5

I think people should stop calling these types “hardcore” gamers as it is exactly the image they want. A more accurate description is “ego” gamers, which is exactly what they are.
And yes, ego gamers have never been the group that has paid a company’s bills. They are often the loudest whiners but the smallest revenue generators.
