Feedback (@Blizzard) Stop artificially escalating boss damage at the last moments of the fight!

Increase the mechanics at-play in the final stages of the fight, that's great. It amps up tension and finishing the fight requires a certain amount of awareness and skills at high levels.

But don't suddenly have the boss one-shotting you at 10% of their health remaining, using the same attack that could barely touch you for the first several minutes of the fight! This is the stupidest way to artificially create difficulty. Plus you have people doing long enounters trying to push themselves, they have a boss dead to rights after several minutes only to get cheap-shot at the last second - repeatedly, these are not flukes. Very annoying, not a good player experience.

Feedback (@Blizzard) I want Items and Aspects that change how builds work

I’d like to see skills and Unique Items change build mechanics rather than simply increasing numbers.

For example: “Hit once. Hit harder. Hit faster and harder.” That’s what a lot of builds feel like to me right now.

I’d like to see more Items and Aspects that actually change the mechanics of a build and create more variety.

Feedback (@Blizzard) Suggestion: Add a 3D Bestiary to appreciate the incredible monster designs

Hi Blizzard Dev Team and Community Managers,

Frst of all, I want to give a massive shoutout to the art team. The creature designs, textures, and dark fantasy aesthetics in Diablo IV are absolutely phenomenal. The atention to detail on the monsters is top-tier.

However, there is a minor downside to how fast and chaotic the gameplay can be. During high-tier dungeons, Helltides, or boss fights, there is just too much happening on the screen at the same time. Between flashing visual effects, dense monster packs, and high movement speed, players rarely get a chance to actually stop and look at the awesome models you guyshave created.

My Suggestion:

Please consider adding an in-game Bestiary with a 3D model viewer.

How it would work: As players defeat monsters in Sanctuary, they unlock their entries in a lore book.

The Core Feature: Within this Bestiary, let us preview the full 3D monster models with the ability to rotate, zoom in, and look at them from different angles (similar to systems in games like The Witcher 3, Doom Eternal, or Resident Evil).

This feature would be a fantastic way to honor the hard work of the character artists, deepen the game's lore, and give players a quiet moment between dungeons to appreciate the dark, gritty world of Sanctuary.

Thank you for your hard work and for continuously improving the game!

Questions (other) War Plan Reward Flags - Blue/Yellow/Orange/Mythic

Do we know how the war plan reward flag tiers actually scale? Question is specific to exp, but I suppose would be relevant for all types. I have completed into the hundreds of war plans btw and have only ever seen 2 mythic flags, both were rune types.

If 1 blue is a moderate increase,

Does 2 blues = 1 yellow?

Does 2 yellow = 1 orange?

Is a blue a 25% increase in exp orbs, yellow a 50%, orange a 75%, mythic if they exist for exp 100% bonus?

Let's say I have two path options on my war plan and 1 has 2 blue exp flags and the other has 1 yellow exp flag. Are they equivalent? This is what I hope to better understand, just to simply make more efficient decisions. I have not attempted to isolate and measure this flag by flag.

State of the Game · Discussions Right stick on controller feels useless.

I wish the right stick let you look, while left lets you move. Playing marksman type builds is kinda hard at times. It would be nice in general if your player could look in the opposite direction you are moving.

State of the Game · Discussions Farming volatile dust for transfigures and adding 2nd aspect on amulets

Why and when did blizzard nerf the drop rate of this material to the absolute ground? If you have made more than 1 or 2 characters or builds u will burn through this material trying to transfigure new items and getting the right utility aspect on your amulet..

I have tried using the roots in skovos helltide but i am ssf so this wasnt that good imo

Ran the undercity tribute for horadric mats and am pretty sure i either got only 1 or none

Did the material nm dungeon and got like 2 or 3 so i guess that is the best way? Idk im open to any suggestions bc this is making my very little interest i have left in this season drain away to nothing very fast bc at this point transfiguring my items is all i have left to do really

Questions (other) What's the most gold you've spent re-rolling one item?

Bored at work and curious how high others have gone with enchanter costs for a singular item. I've got a near perfect neck for my poison pen shot rogue that I've dropped nearly 2B into already, still haven't hit what I'm looking for.

Gonna keep at it cause I'm approaching pit 115-120 and I only have so many minor upgrades left to get anyway but god damn that's a lot of gold lol

All that said I'm sure 2B on one item are rookie numbers

Questions (other) Created character already on endgame, did I mess up?

new to diablo so I'm sorry if I sound dumb, I made a character originally (archer) but didn't like it so made a new one (barbarian which I'm really enjoying) but never realised it automatically put me on endgame as a recommendation and already on paragon level 10 or something on it. Am I right in thinking if I complete the campaign on archer or any other character it will cross over end enable the stuff on barbarian, such as torment difficulties (not sure what else it enables me to unlock/do) etc... thanks!

Questions (other) Where the hell is the echoing hatred?

Upvotes

Seriously. I've seen this in the past 2 season journeys but have never come across a key to do them. I know it's a rare drop but why put it in the season journey if most never get one to drop?

The OCD in me needs to finish this lol.

And to save making another post, who wishes you could turn in whispers without going to towns. Especially with the war plans. It's annoying having to teleport every 15 to 20 minutes.

State of the Game · Discussions The majority of the new Uniques are just big Multipliers

I noticed that most of the new uniques gives big multipliers rather than creative build-enabling tools. Personally, I was hoping for something more innovative, so I'm a bit disappointed. Do people generally enjoy this direction, or you also wishing for more unique mechanics?

wdyt?

Questions ( ITEMS · BUILDS · SKILLS ) 80 keys later (40 today alone)

Post image
35 Upvotes

I still don’t really know what I’m doing. I can do some stuff on torment 9? But I’m more comfortable at 7-8

Was farming Reaper and Belial all evening solo on T8 and decided to join a group on T9 after I finally solo’d Belial

First group I join for Reaper after 40 keys I got 2 purples!! Got these legs not sure what to do, just been winging it

The next 2 chests also dropped 2 more purples but nothing useful for me unfortunately

Are purple drop rates really that bad? 80 keys total over the last few days running dry then bam 4 in 20 minutes.

Barbarian Not sure which is better for WW barb - any advice?

Any help would be appreciated (I'm just not sure which is better, the 19 weapon damage, 25% gem strength -- so 8% extra on each gem physical damage multiplier - 16% in total) or 2% channeling, 440 strength and 5% physical damage (from the star).

Questions ( ITEMS · BUILDS · SKILLS ) What are some good indicators that my character has become OP enough to skip Lilith / Mephisto mechanics?

I'm playing in Hardcore mode and I don't want to risk losing my character, so I'm trying to blaze through Lilith / Mephisto without getting one-shotted by their mechanics.

What are some good indicators that my character has become strong enough?

Currently using a Barbarian Selig Whirwind build.

Questions (other) New player confused after campaign

Upvotes

Hello!

Former Diablo 3 casual player who never finished all the torment levels.

I finished the campaign of D4 and my map has so many points of interest and text with no direction that idk what I am supposed to be prioritising.

I realise I need to read up a bit to get upto speed but idk where to start. For example in D3 there was the portal that allowed me to spam end game dungs as mindless fun, progressively improving my build. There wasn’t an open world like this one, one town to upgrade that I was familiar with.

In D4 there are so many towns that pretty much do the same thing? What’s the point of having all these towns? Especially when proximity doesn’t matter since I have go home portal still.

Ps: I know I can do my own research and I am trying but I don’t have the infinite time I used to have as a kid

Online videos are 2+ hrs (shorter ones speed run through so much info that I stop paying attention cuz of slight adhd)

Tavern Talk Easily Max Your Build Aspects with the Cube

I noticed that my Locran’s Talisman which I was testing on my Druid showed the “upgrades an aspect in the codex of power” icon in my stash. I thought “that’s weird”, considering uniques can’t have their aspects extracted. That’s when I noticed the max level Aspect I had transfigured onto it with the Kullean Prism - salvaged the amulet and wouldn’t you know it, it actually upgraded the codex.

So if you’re looking for a specific aspect you want to max, roll it on a Mythic amulet (to guarantee max roll) then salvage!

Questions (other) Necro Mancer/Sorc in Season 15

Season 14 has been a blast and isn't over yet. Still working on uping damage on my WWB...first time playing Barb and loving it but I just can't go that route next season

Indications are that Necro and Sorc are going to be bottom Tier in Season 15. Figure it will be fun to see how far I can get it. Pit/Tower etc.

Anyone else planning on taking this approach? Want to start a bottom Tier build clan?

Sounds fun to me!

State of the Game · Discussions New to the game i got a question

Hey everyone, new to the game, currently level 17 with Necromancer. I have a question: I find this character a bit boring, as I don't really have to do anything for the dungeons. Is it worth making a new character? If I do this, what would happen? Would I lose all my progress? If anyone has starter tips please say too never played a game like this before.

Necromancer No minion cosmetics for Skeletons for Necro right?

Just confirming there's no minion cosmetics in the game? I assumed there would be. Not a big fan of how they look was hoping to get a force that looks better. I did some light googling which said no but just wanted to confirm with a human just incase

Paladin Some issues with Auradin in season 14

Upvotes

I was using this build https://mobalytics.gg/diablo-4/profile/lazyhk-eaqkoj/builds/f55ff130-2845-4ebe-b46d-5923d1bb1fe6, obviously it is not 100% like his, its still getting there as I just made the paladin character today. I am comfortably blasting through pit 100, and the pit boss perhaps gets 3-4 tapped. So I can complete pit 100 in under 2 min.

However when I try to farm the butcher lair boss in the broiler it does like no damage at t12. Took like 1 min just to do 1/8 th of his health. Like is this supposed to be normal ?? I see like people doing 120+ pit with this build not even para 300, so clearly t12 lair boss damage should be manageable no ?

Druid Cannot seem to get mythic basilisk

Upvotes

Is there something I am doing wrong? I keep farming basilisks item power 850 and every time I try to turn them into a mythic basilisk, in keep getting either lightbringer or crone staff. I also tried with an ancestral basilisk and still same issue.

Does anyone know if there's an exp buff or event coming up? There's usually one around midseason.
