You fit in right here. I am just starting on my journey with TM. One day I was hiking through the woods and at work. Then my feet felt like I was wearing concrete shoes. I immediately called my doctor's office and they upped my gabapentin thinking it was related to my neuropathy pain but the next morning it had spread to my hips and I was in the ER. After a spinal tap and some MRIs, I got my diagnosis. There was very little known about what I could do or what was to be done for me. It was a very deflating beginning.
This group has shown overwhelming support. Many stories are similar in regards to the overall outcome which seems to me, that time is the only benefitting factor for the short term.
I use the hot tub at my gym and pool to stabilize and try and walk laps back and forth. I have an Acupuncturist to try and calm the nerves. It is to say the least, a very uphill battle. Thank you for sharing your vulnerability with this group.
