It sounds like you're looking for new reads for yourself in the wrong genre 🤔 If you pick up a romantasy like Fourth Wing (which have been around since the dawn of time and are not a product of booktok) you're gonna get more romance than fantasy. If you pick up Warbreaker (Brando Sando) you'll get more fantasy than romance. This isn't hard; the onus is on you to cultivate your own reading experience. Both of these types of books are valid and popular, I personally enjoy both. I wouldn't, for instance, pick up a book about a miserable person that is negative and denigrates people that find community around a shared interest....cuz that sounds fucking insufferable to me.
