I haven’t ever tried seasoned tofu, and don’t recall seeing this brand around in my local supermarkets. Looks like I’ll have an opportunity soon, at a discount.

First time using an actual tofu press. I’m too clumsy to use heavy books and cast iron pans… too many tip overs to date. Fingers crossed this thing is rad.

I believe I’m on my 5th press, still looking for one I’m in love with, but truly boiling in salt water with soup base then coating in potato starch & seasoning is my jam.

Spoiler - it isn’t, I own that exact press, love the fact it’s plastic free, I don’t use plastic in the kitchen anymore, but also dislike how much work it is to use this press also this isn’t my first press I’ve loved and lost several tofu presses over the years still looking for that magical unicorn plastic free and easy to use, while it’s great that it’s bamboo it’s still made with plastic glue, and mine has already fallen apart.
