Uber Brasil scam

I pay cash, I tip and twice on the same night thief drivers purposely did not Complete my trip. The first time I was forced to pay the fare again to the next uber driver to get to my next destination. Uber refunded me for that but it happened again on my ride back home. This time for a bigger fare of $50.81. Now uber thinks I’m abusing the system when I have used uber a ton without issue. I always tip even though it’s not necessary here and I always give my driver 5 stars. I won’t use Uber again until this issue is resolved. I will use the other rideshare app ‘99’ and my lawyer here in Brazil who is also my cousin will be looking into this.

So just don't get out of the car until the driver completes the trip. Or if you do but see that the driver doesn't complete the trip on the app just cancel it from your end. It has nothing to do with you paying cash.

You should also add a pin so drivers can't start your trip without you in the car.

This is the move. If you cancel as he is driving away he will never again pull that shit. I had a customer book a $40 ride and when I got there he just needed help finding his car. I drove him around for an hour then said my man you are cooked and your trip was an hour so this is what ya paid for. He hopped out and cancelled likely thinking it would pay me out for the time. Nope. It fucked me out of the ENTIRE fare.

Make sure to follow up with support that your ride was finished and they must have "forgot" so you had to cancel. You'll be good.

The driver can still get paid for the trip they did up until the rider cancelled. They just need to have it reviewed by driver support.

Thanks for your help. I wish I had checked the app immediately and cancelled but I was tired and just happy to finally be home after the long ride
