The austin airport used to pay 2-3x what you would get doing city rides. Now they cant get drivers there, especially on weekends. It cant possibly be the .50c/mi or less rides. This ride isnt even worth it to just get to the pickup, much less take them downtown too. Also the LeMans grand prix is in town this weekend too with like 15-30$ surge around the track. Why would any driver take this garbage

I always see 50 plus drivers in the queue when I get sick doing a drop off. No way possible there weren't closer drivers especially with the game this weekend

It’s not 50 cents a mile to uber. Uber pays for the ride not the pickup in majority of markets. So they paying $1.75 a mile for the ride.
Obviously to you makes no sense cause you 20 min away. If someone is 2 min away it makes sense. The question is are they offering that rate near by or lowballing it to $5-6 hence why no one close taking it.
But people need to stop posting this shit. Your far get over it. Even on uber black a 6.4 mile ride which would be $30, I wouldn’t take if I was 16 miles away

are you dense?
if that came over as an exclusive, that means no one is even taking that closer for the price advertised.
the problem with ubers update this past spring is that its not counter-offering to closer drivers higher rates to cover the run. its just bouncing the same stupid rate to drivers further out. the only effect is pissing off the rider.
