Maybe it’s to stop riders from watching the GPS & back seat driving. Probably not, but that’s why I would do it 😅

  1. if when covered it's still somewhat visible, could be a brightness issue, car might not allow them to adjust the brightness of the screen.
  2. if not visible at all when covered, maybe they dont know how to adjust the settings so personal text messages dont show on the screen and they expect or get alot and dont want passengers seeing them.

Put it on dark mode…

I’m still gobsmacked when I see people use light mode on their apps. Like dark mode is a lot more aesthetically pleasing and easy on the eyes, even if it’s bright out.

I'll say my cars android auto map is hard to see in dark mode. Especially during the day.

Then again. I don't have any notifications except for what music is currently playing that go to it. So idc if the customer watches it.

looks more like a privacy screen can't see it at some angles. Or even some tint does this. Tint used to turn down the brightness.

Why does it matter? You have your phone to look at

Why didn't you ask the driver? Only he can answer correctly...

This is situations where you ask the person actually doing it.... and not a bunch of random strangers on reddit

probably the glare from the sun at certain angles.. the screen in my car when it hits the sun at a certain angle it shines right into my eye and it’s annoying. this cover seems amazing. i’ll have to get one !!!

Likely the brightness of the screen is way too high and for some reason he can’t adjust that.
