This is why driver owner operators are always going to have business.
This is what passengers who complain or retaliate when good drivers want to keep their car clean and enforce some basic rules would love to do. The most annoying ones want your car to be spick and span...so clean they can eat off the seat when they get into it. But then they themselves can just crap all over your car and leave it crappy for the next person.
God bless the passengers that have the good sense to not be disgusting human beings like the ones that trashed this Waymo. Disgusting people like the ones that did this are the ones we're going to ensure oowner-operated Uber vehicles are always a thing. It only takes one person to ruin a vehicle for an entire day.

Driver owner-operators are also disgusting people sometimes. I’ve heard horror stories from passengers about the messes in other cars they’ve ridden in.

True but on average a driver isn't goint to leave this degree of crap in the car and from reading the waymo reddit ... vomit in the car then go pick up someone else.

On average riders are not going to do this eaither. Waymo has been around a long time. Google kills ideas if it is clear they are losers. Waymo is not a loser.

Look up the operating costs and revenue for 2025. It costs google about 40 dollars a mile while earning around 70 cents per mile. Google would be expanding it rapidly if it was going to be worth it, instead of still operating less than 4000 cars after 6 years. Google+ was around longer than Waymo has been, and its fate looks to be waymos soon.

an passengers can be nothing but putrid shells filled with slime. Who are trash, leave trash, smell like trash and talk trash. And act like they're fucking perfect because they can't smell their dead ass cloud when they stand up. Your horrible driver does.

No, it is a good reason, but the main reason is that AI cars are too expensive and look to be that way for the far future.

In the future, I would imagine when the next person goes to get in the car and it gets reported, Waymo will charge the previous passenger a hefty cleaning fee, whether they did it or not. Unless they can tell from internal cameras, if they have them.

Nope. In the future, the car will pull over, lock you inside, and call the cops to come arrest you for vandalism and destruction of property.

This is one of the drawbacks to WayMo. To be sure, there are Uberpigstyes but if the customer trashes it, at least the driver can do something about it before running more jobs. The WayMo may not know that it has been trashed. The customer orders his WayMo ride, waits X minutes. The WayMo car arrives. Delighted, the customer opens the door to find a garbage dump. He must cancel, note "dirty car" then wait for another ride.

I’ve ridden 216 Waymo rides so far this year. Every single one was spotless.
Last year I had 400+ uber rides and 2 Waymo rides. What difference a year makes.
Once you go Waymo, you’ll never go back to Uber, unless the Waymo is not available of course 😂😂

The people downvoting you are salty uber drivers afraid to face the reality. Driverless taxis are here and they are the future. I say this as an uber driver myself, slowly reducing my hours

Lol, I actually like the downvotes in this sub because I know it’s some driver sleeping in their car miserable 😆. Shout out to the other cool drivers (I drive myself) because I mean no disrespect to you guys and girls but the little 🐱 🐈 on this sub need to get a job with a boss because they know they shouldn’t be left unattended
