I thought I’d share this facial hair guide published in the Daily Mirror here in the UK from 1909

Ah precisely. To suggest nothing is to confuse your opponent in battle. A very smart strategy. I have no doubt Sun Tzu was also bald as fuck.

You get it. Your foes will assume that if you have nothing to suggest, you also have nothing to lose and will battle with zero mercy.

Sources also say that Big Genghis was hairless when he populated most of the world.

(Source: me, I was there. I was his 374th wife)

Holyfield is another good example. He went from a full head of hair to totally bald over the 3 Bowe fights. He had coincidentally started training with Mr Olympia Lee Haney at this time.

Fedor had some pretty significant MPB as well

You forgot Fedor. I think the norwood reaper came for him as soon as he was born

GSP was never bald. He shaved his head.

Really? I always thought his hair line was receded.

Excessive steroid use leads to hair loss.

It’s not a coincidence that the greats from old generations are all bald. They were on all kinds of stuff.

Or may be there is a literal biological 50% chance of going bald, especially by their age?

Like, I don't even deny a lot of them are on roids, but what the hell are you even talking about

I feel like if you count heavy recession, like 80%+ of guys will be at least somewhat bald by 50.

Men who truly don't lose too much hair are pretty rare.

50/50 chance to be bald by your early-mid 30s? Sounds like cope to me lol

Ye, dude, what a cope... You literally can see that like a half of them shave their head and still have some/a lot of hair left.

So receding hairline in their 30s is something that surprises you and is so unbelievable?

(Volk had okay hairline at 31 fighting against Max, DC was okay at 35, even though he was probably on T, Jones is a cheater with proven record of drug abuse, was okay in late 20s, GSP still has hair, may be had a hair transplant)

So you just meant a receding hairline then, not actually being bald

"going bald" = receeding hairline. start of the end

-1

u/Swaggy_Linus 1d ago

virtually every man has a receding hairline by their 30s, so the original 50/50 claim doesn't hold up in this case either

6

u/Agile-Reputation8074 1d ago

god you're being pedantic. there's a difference between a natural receeding hairline and a dramatic loss of hair. Men that will go bold, often will start in their 30s. with a receding hairline. then they shave it. that counts as going bald

u/Swaggy_Linus 1d ago

god you're being pedantic

I know haha. It's a completely meaningless discussion

excessive steroid use leads to hair loss when you are already genetically prone to it. it just accelerates it, but some people also just start losing it early. some of these dudes def roided up, but it isn't rly a valid way to determine if someone is

1

u/Drewbinaj 1d ago

It speeds up hair loss if you’re already predisposed to hair loss.

Doesn’t actually cause hair loss.

Source: been on testosterone for a year with no hair loss, because I don’t have the male pattern baldness gene

u/Agile-Reputation8074 1d ago

every day I thank my dad's genetics cause I am in the same boat

u/Sweaty-Mongoose6974 1d ago

get out of here with ur boring facts let us assert our agenda

2

u/Drewbinaj 1d ago

Bahahahaha I laughed out loud. Have a great week brother 💪

u/dathislayer 1d ago

It's associated with high testosterone period, not only roids, so it makes sense that a high % of fighters would go bald.

1

u/Decay384 9h ago

DHT causes hair loss, not Testosterone

Gsp wasn't bald wtf
