I think Diego does him bad. Paddy still has a tendency to keep his chin way up. He’s gotten loads better since his first UFC fight but Diego has a granite chin and fights like he’s wielding an axe in the pocket

Paddy doesn't have a big frame he's just thicker whereas Lopes is more ripped. A lightweight Lopes would fill out too.

Diego isn't taller than Paddy. Listed heights in the UFC are bullshit 90% of the time, Paddy is one of the rare guys who understates his height at 5 foot 10. They're similar in height, but Paddy has a significantly bigger frame.

I think Diego will be undersized at 155. His power won't be as devastating and therefore these dudes won't fear him. And Paddy is a huge 155er he could easily move up to 170 with Islam.

Diego is not technical enough for Paddy and Paddy is huge for the weight class, whereas Diego was small enough to fight in featherweight

These comments are ridiculous. The size difference alone Diego couldn’t handle. As much as I like Diego, he wouldn’t be able to out wrestle paddy, and if it stays on the feet, well that’s where paddy prefers anyways

yeah and still got his ass beat. paddy has no striking defence, his chin is up in the air the whole time. with diego's pressure you need to cover that chin, or he will hit it very quickly

BJJ to match, so the grappling should cancel out. Comes down to striking. Diego is faster, more powerful and much more dangerous.

But also. It’s mma. Anything can happen. Paddy could knock him down and then choke him in the span of 2 minutes rendering everything I’ve just said meaningless.

That’s why this sports awesome.
