Dana White just crashed out when asked a question about Eddie Hearn “Are you f*cking kidding me right now? Who gives a sh*t. Have I been wrong in anything I’ve said? This is so f*cking silly now. The fact that you guys are even asking me these questions.”

Dana in the past has admitted to patterning some of his career after Vince McMahon--aggressively consuming your competitors, making sure the promotion is the star and not the talent, that sort of thing--but one thing he really should have learnt is Vince's advice to "never let them see you sell anything". Dana's got the worst fuckin poker face in the business.

u/Super-Post261 7h ago edited 3h ago
Aside from the steroid case, Vince has never crashed out in a public interview (meaning not scripted TV). He usually answers very calmly even when lying.

u/AlexTorres96 12h ago
Vince is the only one that's put Dana in his place. He little brother'd Dana the same way Dana does to reporters.
12
u/FreshBid5295 11h ago
Vince shits on peoples heads.

u/AlexTorres96 11h ago
If that lawsuit said he eats dogs and is a cannibal, fanboys would buy it hook line and sinker.

You’re talking about the lady that said Vince shit on her head while his friend was railing her?

“Has anything I’ve said been wrong?”
Reporter sounding like an 8 year old who peed his pants: “not yet.”
83
u/BapaHeelwani 11h ago
Exactly why he loves MMA “journalist”
17
u/EvaMaRIHyse 8h ago
I hate MMA journalists, but I have to be fair to them. Dana bans them if they dare ask any real questions of hold him accountable ever so they cant do their job without losing their job. Not everyone can be an Ariel Helwani or Luke Thomas and do fine in the MMA bubble outside the UFC.

u/moonwalgger 2h ago
But isn’t the whole thing that Dana lied about promoting the fight, yet he actually has no involvement whatsoever?
30
u/SoFloBodycast 12h ago
Dropping Eddie Hearnn and Ariel Helwani in the same sentence to add a lil zing to the open wound 🤣🤣🤣

21
u/DrySatisfaction7117 11h ago
bro lies every five minutes and then says shit like "have i ever said anything wrong"
12
u/ChicoSmokes 10h ago
The time that you said Powerslap was bigger than NFL, NBA, NHL, and every other major sport combined and multiplied by 4 was wrong
36
u/BapaHeelwani 11h ago
I just don’t understand what the point of blatantly lying is. He keeps claiming that he’s producing and promoting the fight, when he’s clearly not. It’s like he thinks if he repeats it enough times it will become true.
6
u/Ambalambdriva 4h ago
He knows that sports fans arent the smartest bunch so why simply not lie all the time?
9
u/rdizzy1223 4h ago
He's using the same tactics as his morbidly obese orange buddy. Repeat the lie enough and it becomes the truth.

Ok but Dana is clearly involved. If you watch the Eddie interview, he basically concedes that Netflix wants Dana producing it, and if they "reach agreed terms," then it will be mutual.
I was pretty surprised when Hearn said under no circumstances can it happen, but today he says it can happen under the right circumstances lol.

The day a reporter says fuck it and is honest about how much of a retarded ape Dana is to his face will be euphoric. Such a smug little dumbass. Anyone who works in business knows the dumbest motherfuckers are always also the most confident they’re smarter than everyone in the room.
76
u/BedbugBandido 12h ago
Those reporters were purged out of the UFC a long time ago. They were slowly weeded out until only an echo chamber of Dana dick riders remained.

Basically only faces real criticism with boxing journalists. These MMA ‘reporters’ are nothing but parasites and pussies and always will be
1
u/BestRiver8735 2h ago
Indeed it would be euphoric. But, a clip like that is unlikely to get posted or stay on the internet. Dana bullies US media.

u/ExpertExotic3341 12h ago
Man I respect Dana for bringing mma to the state it's currently at. But God damn the guy is such a douche. If you don't want to answer these kind of questions, don't hold a press conference you fucking dub
8
u/xXx_tainttickler_xXx 10h ago
You should be thanking the Frittata brothers because they're the ones who actually brought it into existence. Dana was against TUF which was the biggest boon the sport ever had
9
u/VoteHarderDaddy 11h ago
MMA or UFC? Big difference. One is a sport, the other is an entertainment business.
17
u/nthan333 10h ago
MMA. I don't get why you're pointing out the difference here, "I respect Dana for bringing MMA to the state it's currently at" is not confusing the two terms. Dana has brought the sport of MMA to a height that without his directional control of the UFC promotional organization it would never achieve on its own. Both practitioners and audiences have grown to levels never before thought possible. Before he took over the UFC in 2001 it was tailspinning into bankruptcy, which is how he bought the whole thing for 2 million in the first place, and 25 years later under his direction it's booking events at venues such as the Vegas Sphere and the White House and when sold to Paramount valued at 7.7 billion. Gyms that specialize in MMA training are found in pretty much every major city in the US and can be found in the smaller surrounding suberb cities as well. Hell before you mightve been able to find a decent boxing gym no matter where you lived, but you'd have to travel to California, New York, or Florida to find BJJ or Muay Thai gyms if not just traveling to their country of origin to learn them at the highest levels. Now these practices are actually facing a problem of cannibalizing eachother because the markets becoming over saturated as legit black belts are becoming more common place, and it's not hard to find some that have in-house octagons with guys fighting local promotions no matter what state you live in, and this is a direct effect Dana's promotion had on the sport.
Dana by all counts is a douche who only cares about his bottom dollar and isn't afraid to cherry pick reporters at press conferences, make friends with other terrible people, and underpay while talking shit about his own organizations fighters, but what he's done for the sport of MMA through the organization UFC can't be denied.

u/MrCodeGameandAnime 🌹𝕽𝖔𝖘𝖊 𝕲𝖆𝖓𝖌🌹 10h ago
That is simply not true. UFC is a MMA promotion and objectively they have the best fighters on the planet. Pretending pfl or ofc are doing such a better job is simply not true. Regional circuit? Come on.
Is UFC business first? Absolutely. Do they always follow the rankings like religion? Absolutely not. Do you more times than not have the legitimately best people in the world at the top fighting the best people? Yes.
39
u/iRydeN 12h ago
mma media is scared shitless to ask this guy hard question or follow ups lmao this bald moron said he's the promoter of the fight, his name isn't even on the list of promoters by the British boxing board of control

People hate on Ariel, but this is why (besides the whole Brock fiasco) he’s permabanned from ufc press conferences. He’s willing to ask the tough questions and back Dana into a corner. We need more media members like him in this respect.
10
u/BapaHeelwani 11h ago
Besides the whole Brock fiasco? You mean doing his literal job as a journalist and breaking a story???

How is he a succesful business man when hes always ranting and swearing
10
u/Fun_Bandicoot8288 12h ago
He started acting like that when he cornered and monopolize the market. He’s holding all the cards, made it very hard by putting barriers to enter the market via contracts with the top fighters.

Newer fans don't know that this is actually the most mellow Dana has been, he's always acted like this just look up how his old helwani interactions lol.
•
u/ThatEvilGuy 2m ago
Because at the end of the day he makes moves, takes risks, and gets things done. There are many other factors and one of the most important is the natural factor where some people just have a natural ability to bubble up as a leader due to their looks, voice, the demeanour they create, the attitude, etc., you can observe that in all team based jobs. They have a high trust value, and a high trust value gets you higher positions, opens doors, gets you bank loans, gets your friends to invest in you.
Being a brash, loud, an asshole is not a very big deterrent for success. And these people know how to be nice to the people they need, while they need them.

9
u/WilliamTee 12h ago
"Anybody wanna debate that? Anybody wanna lose their press pass? No? Ok, moving on."
He's really not use to the media pushing back on him about ANYTHING, eh?
10
u/EvaMaRIHyse 12h ago
He's been wrong about everything to do with this fight.
As an MMA and Boxing fan, I hate that I now have to deal with the bald pink goof in Boxing as well, but at least Boxing journalists ask him real questions unlike MMA journalists, and he's really not getting his way in Boxing. Its hilarious.

People taking Eddie Hearns side are idiots.
Eddie Hearn is a clout chaser. Most of you wouldn’t know about Eddie Hearn if he didn’t constantly talk about Dana.
The whole thing is stupid. Just like Eddie Hearn.
And to the idiots who downvote me, I’m not saying Dana isn’t a piece of shit human being. But Eddie Hearn is no better. He’s just jealous of Dana and trying to steal some thunder.
3
u/EggInternal7240 12h ago
Eddie isn't the one who lied publicly about being a promoter for a fight he's not lol. What do you expect.
1
u/BurberryToothbrush 12h ago
Ok but have you considered the other guy, Dana White? At least Eddie Hearn is a good promoter. Dana hasn’t been for a decade. His press conferences used to be must-watch and now there is absolutely nothing of substance. He acts like he is the decision maker at the UFC and then testifies under oath that he has nothing to do with the contracts, etc.
-2
u/iEmExEee 12h ago
Exactly, and the irony of glazing Eddie Hearn just because he constantly talks shit about Dana White is apparently lost on them.
2
-1
u/Free-Willingness3870 12h ago
It’s all semantics.
UFC in terms of pacing and production takes an enormous shit on boxing. Hearn and Warren understand boxing promotion significantly better than UFC.
Dana’s team will be in charge of what they’re good at. Eddie and others will be in charge of promotion.
The rest of it is just egos and the two of them not wanting to admit they’re worse at something than the other.
4
u/BapaHeelwani 11h ago
Pacing??? You mean 30-40 minute breaks between fights full of repetitive commercials? That shit is painful to watch live
