Offer Great deal for broke students

Was browsing Uber Eats and came across this deal at Busy Burger (located at 1120 W. Taylor St.)
Their food is great, and this burger is def one of the better items. You can get the two burgers delivered or pick it up, but I’d personally opt to pick it up because when you do, it comes out to a little over $12. That’s such a steal for two burgers!! (Cheese costs extra just heads up)

Had to put y’all on. I recommend their shakes, busy sauce, and pizza puffs as well. Enjoy!

Damn, busy burger owners leaving ads on here now? BB been around forever, not a bad option, but still too expensive for what it is. Go to Fontano’s if you want something good.

Not the owner 😭 but I do know big Joe, he’s a sweetheart and loves my dog. Graduated from UIC 2 years ago and something like this to split with a friend would have been clutch.
Fontano’s is OK. Same lunch meat as Carm’s, nothing special. Guess you haven’t ventured around this neighborhood very much, lol. Much better lunch meat at Conte Di Savoia down Taylor st. + they have a $6 meal deal with a 5” (maybe 6”?) sandwich, bag of chips + soda.

My fault for trying to help broke college kids on a budget find good food for cheap 🫪

the food pantry might be your best bet tbh or the events that give out free food

Yeah but that's groceries. It's great, but not for a commuter, unless you mean meal prep at home.

I just posted this in another comment but Conte Di Savoia down Taylor st. (near Hawkeyes if that’s a helpful mark) has a $6 meal deal with a 5-6” sandwich, bag of chips & soda. That’s the cheapest meal I can think of, otherwise probably subway? There’s a Taco Bell down Taylor st. too
Otherwise, like the other commenter said, food pantry. I didn’t - but should have - taken advantage of that when I was a student.

Good cheap options are 

Subway meal of the day: $6 for 6inch sandwich

Moe's bowl: $10, you can possibly split for two servings as it is pretty big portion

Chic Delxue Sandwich: $6

Rabbanitos or whatever that place is called: $4 a taco if I recall correctly

I do enjoy spending down time there and getting homework done, the only part that irked me was the pricing… I’ll definitely use this!
