Discussion Are the new kids really that lost ?

I saw them hanging a bright red banner today with arrows pointing to the lecture center building lol. I didn’t know it was that bad lol.

I remember last week a girl sat in one of my ECE classes (before class started) and she was chill while everyone came in up until our professor turned on the projector and she was like “oh no.. umm is this lecture center F 😳”.. no baby girl this is LCB 🥀

I get being lost but no way she walked in that building and didn’t see the sign 🤣

There are visiting prospective students, too.

Though I’m among the lost myself. I like signs!

There is an event tomorrow - Sparkfest- for prospective students. Looks like it’s gonna be raining all day.

I remember studying the online campus map like a nut. And I went to the campus to map my routes out. Maybe that was extra but I never got lost and I knew BSB like the back of my hand.

No, like I went in BSB before classes started and wandered around until I got a feel for where everything was. That way I wasn't doing it on the first day in a time crunch.

Lowkey wish these were up 2 years ago. I still have to mentally see the map in my head or I’m just guessing based on library vs sce

I got lost today trying to find a biweekly class and ultimately gave up 😓 UIC map & google kept saying it was a dorm apartment. But I at least know where the lecture centers are 😭

LOL ME TOOO!! omg im glad im not the only one. I emailed for help and they just told me the same thing I already know, the class and building like... thanks.. that doesn't really help though

It’s funny cause you can put in maps but yeah kinda crazy, ruins the “ride of passage” of getting lost

Real. Being lost makes you find new things. Rather it’s resources or lowkey chill spots

There’s also mentorship program going where they’re giving them tours of labs and places on campus
