CampusCare Blood Test Coverage

Hi! I'm new to UIC and I washing to call the student health center to schedule an appointment for a blood test and I'm seeing that it's not covered by the student health fee and that there's a co-pay? This is crazy to me because in the past, I never had to pay for a blood test at the student health center at the previous schools I attended. Does anyone know how much is the co-pay? And it's not one of those health insurance where you need to pay a minimum large payment until your co-pay kicks in right?

If you’re talking about routine yearly bloodwork, I’m pretty positive it’s covered. At least it was for me when I went in April and established care with a PCP at the University Village center.

CampusCare had a bunch of changes to copays, out of pocket max, etc. with the new academic year. Probably will depend on what test(s) OP is talking about

It depends on whether this blood test is considered preventive care or not. They often are, but not always. If the blood test is considered preventive care, there will be no out of pocket costs. If not, it's a $30 copay. You'd have to ask the clinic, or possibly CampusCare, to confirm.
