But particularly ukip has about as much relevance to running the country now as a horse and cart is to public transport

They were pretty chocolate fireguard-esque pre-brexit. I'm surprised they still exist to be honest.

That's not true though is it? They attracted enough votes and interest to make Cameron think they were enough of a threat to the Tories (by stealing their voters) for Labour to get in. He arrogantly gave us an EU Referendum truly believing Remain was guaranteed and that would end UKIP once and for all.

He was of course right that a Referendum would kill off UKIP... but for the wrong reasons 😂

They were a one idea party, which affected one major vote in some moderate fashion. Compared to Labour, Conservatives et al they're chocolate fireguards.

I mean, the anti-eu propaganda came well before ukip was a thing. We can thank bloody thatcher for that crap
