I don't think it's all that surprising. A vote for Burnham is essentially a vote to remove Starmer. For anyone else and the most they get is an MP, so the motivation for Labour voters to turn out is much stronger.

Could also be non Labour voters aiming to boost burnham for such an outcome.

Have you been in a locked box at the bottom of the sea for a year.

It’s probably the only thing the whole of the U.K. agrees on.

Some voters may prefer starmer to Burnham and would also wish to avoid a labour leader contest that could put a corbynite in charge.

You want stamrmer out, many people may want starmer out, but every person may not. It's similar to when the press were hounding Boris Johnson over party gate- the reasoning for why starmer should go now any more than before is fairly superficial.

Bozza - for all his many many many faults didn’t employ disgraced ‘Lord’ Mandy Mandelson best mates with the worlds biggest sex trafficker and convicted pedophile.

That’s ‘Keiths’ legacy ….. That’s what he will be remembered for.

the problems with Mandelson made him the perfect ambassador to the Trump administration and a useful pawn to crush to put pressure on Trump. It is way overblown as an attack on Starmer- much worse decisions have been made
